the dude has out of this world power, probably the greatest one punch power I have ever seen

yet he is so afraid to face the best, its a shame, really

even if he isn't technically good, he still has that power, and his power will always be a factor

His "power" like his ability to take a punch is a carefully crafted ILLUSION. Chris Byrd could have stopped most of the scrubs Wilder has padded his record with.

Either of those fighters last night would have annihilated Wilder, it would have been one of the worst episodes of "Shattered Glass" in recent memory.

I wonder - does the Bronze Bambi dance as well as Price when he gets tagged?

I was pondering this myself about Wilder and whilst he does have power it usually comes from swinging himself off his feet which is fine when facing poor opposition but no decent boxer would get caught by those shots, ask yourself when did Wilder hurt someone from a conventional punch, does he have an uppercut like we saw last night,it's all levels and beating up on grade c opposition is hardly the same as doing it against grade A.

Many boxers who have a high KO percentage, start to no longer look as powerful once they step up in level.

The unusual thing about Wilder, is that his team has never let him step up in level.

But we can assume from his boxing form and technique, that his power does not carry up.

I'm not sure whether Wilder has that level of power or not. But, what I am sure of is that his handlers are afraid of something significant and he's massively protected. They are just tip-toeing through a minefield until they can get him to the perfect cash-out fight. That's probably Joshua, at some point after Wilder beats Bellew in England to maximise the interest in a Joshua/Wilder fight.

Wilder's hand's are shot to pieces. After almost every recent fight he's had to get something fixed.

Wilder has only a couple of fights left in him, IMO. His hands can't stand the battering. Soon as he gets a mega-fight against someone like AJ or Fury he'll be offski.

Totally disagree. If Wilder keeps Joshua outside like he did vs Stiverne, Wilder has more than a good chance. Joshua's added weight made him look way too stiff. Plus say what you will about DW but if AJ gets that tired vs Wilder he will finish him. When DW smells blood, windmill or not, he will not let up on an oppenent.

If AJ gets inside he will finish DW off unlike Stiverne though.

AJ is surrounded by businessmen so they have carefully managed him and brought him along.

Wilder is surrounded by homies from the hood who are content with their hanger-on fees.

AJ reminds me of the Mike Tyson who had Jim Jacobs, Bill Cayton and Kevin Rooney in his corner; pure business and menace.

Wilder sounds like a loud idiot shouting 'bomb squad' wherever he goes and his thug-life bro tries to take the limelight too.
