There's no reasonable argument favouring Rocky in this fight.

Rocky is arguably the best ever at 200 pounds, but Joshua has a 25% weight advantage and is a damn good fighter himself.

It's like favouring Robinson over Kovalev, you just wouldn't do it.

Based on what? They're the same height and reach. Only difference is 15 lbs and if you forgot, SRR was on his way to winning the lhw title before the heat got to him. Robinson is 100x more proven than Kovalev no question. What prime fighter did Kovalev ever beat that was even close to the skill that Robinson had?

Power about even? Wow. I couldn't disagree more. 185lb vs 250lb. Both punchers. It's a no contest.
Chin Marciano? Has Marciano ever taken a big shot from a conditioned SHW puncher? His chin is proven mostly against guys weighing in the 190s
Please list the weight of the biggest punchers he faced and took punches from

Robinson doesn't beat an elite puncher who weighs 190 in the ring either
kovalev is 190 pounds in the ring and obviously an elite puncher and elite fighter to anyone with eyes and boxing knowledge, I wouldn't favor Robinson. BUT Robinson was a much much better more well rounded fighter than Marciano ever was so I would give him a much better chance than marciano

He beat both of the super heavyweights he fought. The better of the two, Johnny Shkor, actually gave a good account of himself.

"Shkor, who had just previously been KO'd in one round by Jersey Joe Walcott, was big and strong, and his mauling tactics were worrisome to Marciano for four rounds. Johnny stayed at close quarters and leaned on his opponent, trying to tire him out. Even so, Rocky did enough punching to win the first three rounds and the fourth was even. Marciano began to find the range in the fifth and knocked Shkor down with a left hook and a right to the eye just before the bell. Marciano came out in the sixth throwing bombs and Shkor was down for three nine-counts before the fight was stopped. Rocky suffered a left eyelid cut in the first round, which his handlers closed, but Shkor opened it in the third and it bled freely after that. "

Marciano had his power tested after he retired and the scientists equated it to the power of an armor piercing bullet.

    Walcott - 197
    Louis - 213
Moore (holds the record for the most knockout in history) - 188

Weight doesn't improve chin. I think yesterday was a clear sign that Joshua is too big. Being gassed by the 5th rd an all.

You think that extra 15 lbs is muscle? Its useless water weight and it made Kovalev gas in the last quarter of the fight.

Lol Marciano wasn't even 200 pounds. How was he the best at 200 pounds? Tell that too Ted Lowry who beat him and Roland LaStarza who beat him. They weren't even 200 pounds. More like 180. If these 2 guys could beat him at 180 then why wouldn't other guys who were better at between 180 and 200 pounds beat him?

In fact S. Kovalev would knock out Marciano. Unless you believe Ted Lowry was a bigger punch and better fighter than Kovalev.

The part about the SHW doesn't help your point. if the guy was knocked out in the first round by Walcott and then went on to do better against Marciano

2 of the guys you listed were done, old, finished fighters when Marciano fought them.
Moore was a career LHW who weighed about the same as Marciano. This maybe proves that Marciano takes a good shot From people his own size and can beat another great similar in weight. Doesn't prove at all that he could take Joshua's power.
I used to box and I'd rather get hit by a 180 or 190 pound skilled puncher (against guys his own size)than an ordinary but in shape 230+ pound guy with 6-12 months of training. The difference is DRASTIC. Joshua is considerably better and more dangerous than an ordinary 240 pound big guy with a year of training.
I do agree that he is probably holding too much muscle for his frame right now, klitschko has naturally broader shoulders but weighed 10 pounds less. Wouldn't matter against any 185 poun man who comes at him, especially with slow feet and mediocre defense

I thought he beat Lowry and LaStarza tbh. I must have misread his record.
