Joseph Parker on Joshua vs Klitschko 'I could land combos on either '

Yep but I prefer Wilder cos he's got a belt and I believe stylistically, its a good match up. Ortiz and Povetkin IMO would be tougher because of their boxing ability and they dont have a belt.

 

Wilder would be an easy way to nab a belt providing the WBC actually endorses that fight, but it wouldn't really give Joe too much useful experience to bring into a fight with Joshua. Wilder's punches might give Parker the confidence to take Joshua's power, though that might actually be a bad thing. Better by far to go in there with a genuine world class operator, even if they don't bring the prestige of a unification.

Anyway, it's not a fight that would ever realistically happen so I'd say it's not worth much more than only cursory consideration.

Yeah I wouldn't Joe to find out really. Joshua hits hard enough to rock and stop him so a slight increase in punch resistance (and Joe's been rocked and visibly hurt before, but he's good at hiding the effects) won't win him the fight anyway, so it isn't going to play a major factor in the outcome of the contest.

He'll need to vastly improve his ability to attack without getting countered. That generally relies on use of a good jab to control the opponent's movement, disrupt their timing and rhythm, and open up their defence. Joe's got a great snappy jab, but he under-utilises it and seems to prefer blindly bum rushing his opponents with power shots, which tends to be when he's most badly countered.

 

I like Parker. Willing to fight anyone. Was really not impressed with his win over Ruiz though. I think he still needs to improve to cause problems for Wladimir and Joshua. He has the fastest hands in the division. His defence is poor though.

 

Parker definitely has the quickest hands out of the top guys

 

I think Joshua, Wlad (not sure how he will be after the Joshua fight), Wilder would all be favoured over Parker in my opinion. Also Fury if he comes back and is what he was before.
There are a few other HWs that I would favour over Parker

 

I am not trying to catch you out with this question but what has happened that makes you feel Parker is willing to face anyone?.
I agree with what you that I think the HWs you mentioned would be too much at this time

 

Parker does NOT hit like wlad,doesnt have defense remotly like Wlad and is not a fleet footed guy who will use distance and timing like Wlad....Joshua would knock him clean out the moment Parker tries those combos on Joshua. Hes not just going to stand there and say hit me...lol

 

Aj never been knocked out, he went down as an amature which i dont think was as hurt as he was last night. Without a great chin you don't take 10 rounds of clean shots from wlad, (probably the hardest hitter ever) and still get the tko in round 11.

We haven't seen Parker take any of the shots Aj took last night. Aj has great punch resistance. Took bombs off the temple and chin, came back and won inside the distance.

You can't go strictly by boxrec for all your info. Never been down doesn't = better chin than everyone who's tasted canvas.

Parker no doubt has the skills and hand speed to defeat Joshua. Parker has very good pop and has enough speed to crack Joshua with shots he won't see coming.

If Whyte can hurt Joshua... so can Parker.

I think Joseoh Parker is very under rated & that's the way he likes it. Just look at the other Hw's today.....

Wladimir Klitschko ... If he decides to fight again . still is a force to be reckoned with. In the Fury debacle he looked done but redeemed himself against Joshua
