Wlad had had seven more fights than Joshua had before yesterday when he lost to Purrity. That's not splitting hairs. The Wlad of last night wouldn't have lost to Purrity or Brewster. Joshua wouldn't either. He is a better fighter than Wlad was at the same stage in his career. Of that I feel certain.

Joshua would likely be competitive against anybody h2h and would be too big for
Only Wlad was 23 when he lost to Purritty, not 28.

But he was around Joshua's age with many more fights when he lost to Brewster. I mean if Brewster's aggression made him gas... And Joshua would do better than Peter did also.

The Wlad of last night is also clearly not peak Wlad. Let's see how Joshua's career plays out. All fighters develop differently and at different speeds, I don't believe Joshua will ever be as good as peak Wlad, not knock on him, Just my evaluation. Great win for him last night and I look forward to excting times in the division.

He gassed out but retooled after that loss and had a 10 year run. Joshua is going to have losses if he has a seventy fight career, you can be sure of it. Wlad of 09/10 would have flattened him.

I feel he can surpass peak Wlad, but, as you say, we will have to wait and see.

As I see it, Fury is the greatest threat to him right now, if he can get his act together.

The only thing that changed was i see him on par with Vitali Klitchko because he could certainly handle long range Wlad (fought his fight) which tells me he beats everyone outside mike Tyson (prime under Rooney )and Vitali klitchko. Hes not even 20 fights in and no one on this forum could actually give me a realistic reason who handles the 6'6 240 plus pounder who throws every punch in the book with precision with speed and power , is a inside fighter as well so he doesn't really look at the jab as a main factor.

you cannot defeat this man unless you have a strong one punch knockout power, this eliminates just about everyone CAPABLE OF KNOCKING HIM OUT( WLAD KLITCHKO IS ONE OF THE HARDEST PUNCHERS IN HISTORY)bc you also have to LAND the punches that means get CLOSE to him where Joshua can hit you too...

I know without the loss to Fury, Wladimir likely would not have trained as hard, been so motivated, been so focused, etc.

However, it's tough to quantify or measure that sort of statement.

So I do think it's reasonable to have the opinion that the Wladimir of just 2 years ago would have been able to take Joshua out. Not sure that I do feel that way, but just off top it seems reasonable to be able to make that argument.

AJ had way harder time vs 41 y.o. Wlad than Holy had vs his 40+ y.o. stars Foreman and Holmes because
Wlad at 41 years old is a lot better than old Foreman and Holmes were.

And AJ knocked Wlad out , Holyfield won on points.

Wladimir Klitschko at 41 years old would beat Foreman and Holmes at 41 years old.

Yes, Wlad with way more fights than Joshua has gassed against Brewster and almost against Peter. Joshua, who is pre-peak now, in all likelihood wouldn't gas like pre-peak Wlad did and therefore is the better fighter as I see it.

Let's compare them peak for peak when Joshua actually has reached his peak.

Tyson Fury the most overrated guy on this forum. I literally Parker and Ortiz handle him. I wouldn't put it past Wilder, either. We saw him win the title in the worst HW-title-winning fight in history against a Wladimir that was at his absolute worst in a near decade. And we know Fury tested positive for steroids just six months prior, without that being known or made public until after the Wlad fight. Tyson Fury will disappoint a whole lot of you guys who view him as some beast and legit future long standing threat in the division. I expect his career from this point onward to be close to a complete failure, even without having high standards.

I'm not sold on Fury I was 5 rows back in NY for the Cunningham bout and was not impressed. I was shocked how bad he made Wlad look, Wlad's timing was greatly disrupted by Fury so I give him credit for that and he is one confident man. Let's see if he can get his act together and get back in the ring. He was brought along perfect shame he has gone off the rails.
Good times lot of good fights can be made. Good chatting

Steward ttaught his guys to survive and win....Joshua isnt a mugger like Lewis and Wlad under Steward. Hes too talented for that,McCracken done him right and thats why hes the most talented SHw to come along, hes not limited to the long range jab.......
