I would strongly favour Joshua. We have seen that Joshua can get up from a flush power shot from Wlad who is a big strong HW.
Joshua, I would guess is stronger and punches every bit as hard.
When I consider some of Tysons fights he was great during that era but I dont think he would be as good if around today

You rate Tyson and Joshua ahead of Bowe H2H?

Did I also read something which inferred you rate AJ over Bowe in inside fighting/combination punching?

I know his time at the top was brief but while his flame brightly burned Riddick Bowe was a sight to behold.

Bowe was heavy footed and clumsy with a over hand right....he also NEVER learner to throw straight punches outside a jab ,they ALL loop...he also wasnt a combo puncher on the inside ,he rarley threw more than 2 punches at a time. he would have nothing on joshua aggressive style and ability to move FAST around the ring,he has great ring cutting abilities .The only similar thing to Joshua with Bowe is his uppercut but its not as powerful and nor sneaky....Joshua throws his while being completley on the other side of an opponent and hides it well with other punches .

In fighting, well joshua is just a bigger version of Tyson like explosive combos,Bowe didnt remotly have those skills. He looked good bc then no 6'5 230 plus guy was as polisshed besides Lewis who was more limited but better skilled at his style.

Tyson would have more difficulty just bc of Bowes size but see the same result.

Bowe was a brutal inside fighter for a big man wasn't he ! I agree with your point on him. He was a sight to behold. Only fighter I have confidence in beating him is Lennox Lewis, and that's only because I think he had Bowe mentally, skill wise Bowe was more complete imo. AJ isn't on Bowes level either

Prime Tyson KO... A lot like Bruno in many ways, stiff and not durable enough to avoid and then survive Tyson's assault.

@GALVATRON, Either I focus too much on Bowe at his best or you focus too much on Bowe when he wasn't (admittedly the latter was far more common). To my eye he looks far more natural and relaxed than Joshua but I will do some re-watching to look out for the things you mentioned.

I don't see Joshua as this oversized Mike Tyson you describe either unless I misunderstood and you were just comparing them for their explosive combinations?

I like to keep it quiet on here because I don't really have the credentials or the knowledge to back up my argument but………I ACTUALLY THINK BOWE BEATS LEWIS:eek:

Awesome, good to see a hateful waste like this was booted.

Weight matters more, but height matters as well. Weight classes are indirect height classes, as you can only be a certain height while carrying sufficient weight.

It's no coincidence that every dominant HW champ has either had great power, like Tyson, or good to great height. Often both.

Like who? Tell me who was were these "huge" heavyweights that Tyson KOd? A couple total bums? I like Mike, but let the actual record show....he struggled with big heavyweights. Just the way it is.

I'm the "Moron of the year" because I compared Sergey Kovalev vs Manny to Joshua vs Tyson to illustrate the size difference?!? Sergei is 5-6 inches taller and at least 30lbs heavier than Manny on fight night. Tell me, what's the disparity between AJ and Mike?? Please respond, I'd really like to know...

He can't respond. He's banned now. Not that he'd have anything meaningful to say anyway

Thing about prime Mike was the fear factor, a lot of guys were beat before they got in the ring. After Douglas and jail that diminished (except for dear old Bruno in the second fight ). Holyfield had no fear of him as he'd poleaxed a very out of shape Douglas four years earlier and had a steel fkg plate in his head to butt Mike into submission. :rosstheboss If Joshua is scared he'll freeze up and need his own steel plate to pacify Mike. :squezer:

Youre an imbecile. Physical prime? Not sure what that even means but Holifield was a cruiserweight during Prime mikes career 86-88. Mikes mental state and boxing skills went into quick decline starting in 85 after cus damatos death and really started to catch up with him by the end of 87. You have a lot to learn about old fighters. Prime Lewis,Tyson,Holifield,Mercer,Bowe,Rudduck,Ibeabuchi,40 year old Foreman and Prime Klitsckos all beat Joshua. I think Tua also problably beats him. Dont get me wrong it wouldnt be an easy fight except for a few of those guys.
