Rematch would bring even more $$$$ than this fight. Both guys went 11 rounds for life and death, so it was very close fight. I think the second fight would be remake of Marciano-Walcott II, where Marciano KO's Walcott in the first round. But if Klitschko wins it will be a huge boost to his legacy.
Hmmm, not before a AJ vs Wilder or AJ vs Parker. Plus I feel greedy me wanting Wlad to get back in the ring at 42 just because I would love to see them duke it out again. I am a huge advocate of leaving the paid ranks with as many faculties as possible. That said, do I still want to see a rematch? If Wlad is into damned right I would.
TBH no I think AJ would have learnt way more in that fight than Wlad so it wouldn't be a good fight...
Yeah i would be happy to see it. He very nearly lost that fight and it was a great fight.. With a rematch maybe we could see if he learnt much from the 1st one. Personally i would rather he take on Parker, Wilder but this wouldnt be much of a let down if it happened.
I think Wladimir should make an easier farewell fight and I prefer Joshua vs Wilder or Joshua vs Parker but on the other hand it was a great fight which deserves a rematch.
not really, mainly because of the ending, Wlad got whacked out. I'd rather Wlad left it there, he nearly beat a decent new generation fighter than could go on to dominate. to come back and risk getting flattened seems pointless, he proved a lot in the fight and at 41 not a lot of fighters would have done that well. It happens to the best of them. I got a feeling he will probably want the rematch though. when you look at it he nearly had Joshua out and that end flurry when it was stopped wasn't as damaging as it looked, in his mind he thinks it could have went on. If he feels fine physicazlly in a few weeks it wouldn't surprise me at all. remember he was obsessed, he probably will be again unless his loved ones can talk sense into him.
Honestly, no. Yes maybe Wlad wins, he was close last Saturday but no cigar. However, maybe he also gets badly hurt. He's just too old to take this sort of punishment, considering his weak chin. I feel a soft chinned guy like him can sustain lasting brain damage potentially just from a few punches too many. I expect we'll get an announcement in the next couple months that he's retiring.
I think the Wlad fight would be the best quality to watch, it was the best title fight in years for a reason. I think those other fights, although meaningful in a sense wouldn't be near the quality. Wlad is the last great fighter, those other guys are not in that league even though he past it, AJ would probably win fairly easily against anyone else imo.
Any real fan would welcome a rematch after such an exciting fight, I mean when was the last time a huge fight actually lived up to the billing? The interest is huge in a rematch. But Wlad is old, I feel kind of bad putting him through another gruelling camp and a potentially very tough fight. He's given enough to the sport, I won't begrudge him deciding to retire. Though I'm sure many will berate him if he does so, much like when Lewis retired denying us a great rematch. I doubt it happens though, Joshua has mandatories and I can't see Wlad hanging around for a year for another shot.
Would prefer Wlad hangs them up personally, and even though it was a fabulous fight, I have a feeling the rematch would be a let-down.
I would rather he retire. He couldnt go out after the Fury performance but even though he lost on Saturday he is getting nothing but respect for the way he fought. He surprised alot of people and can really go out with his head held high. The man has already paid his dues to this sport, paid them long before he came up against Fury or Joshua.
Yes, the fight was so good that I want to see another one and a third one if Wlad pulls it off, but at the same time I feel somewhat guilty for wanting it. As fast and strong Wlad is right now, it's easy to see that he's nearly done and fighting like that is an unnecessary risk. That **** is for movies.
Wlad deserves to retire. There is literally no reason for him to fight again, anything now is more and more deterioration of his body. He doesn't deserve that.
