Max Kellerman thought the fight was stopped 'prematurely'. Do you agree?

Kellerman thinks the ref stopped the fight early, and puts it to Vlad post fight.

Personally I feel the ref did a good job, he had been dropped twice and was in danger of getting seriously hurt.

Should he have been allowed to continue?

Good stoppage, silly to argue otherwise.

Like you said, he was dropped multiple times in the same round by hard shots. His eyes were gone and he had no fighting response when the ref stopped it he was out of it. Ref did the right thing. Max Kellerman also told people that Pacquiao loss that Mayweather fight so anyone taking his word as law now needs to drink bleach for their hypocrisy.

If there's one thing that's ended prematurely, I hope it's Max Kellerman's career.

I've seen that round numerous times now. It can be argued that Wlad could have been stopped after the first KD in round 11 as he was on unsteady legs. The second KD was even worse. He was defending himself after the 2nd KD but was not throwing back. I think it was an OK stoppage. God forbid AJ landed another monster punch that had Wlad on the floor asleep. Not a good way to go out if you ask me. The ref prevented an embarassing brutal KO for Wlad if u ask me

No, nothing wrong with the stoppage. Sure, everyone wanted Wlad to bounce back and Wlad would've kept getting up 2 KD's or 5, but refs job is to protect fighters even from themselves.

I think the stoppage was fair.

Even if the fight hadn't been stopped, Wlad would either have been stopped in the next round, or lost by decision because of the 3 knockdowns.

It's possible to see it as being stopped a little too early, but I have no problems with the stoppage.

Maybe Wlad survives and the 12th is epic, but this fight was coming on the heels of everyone finding out just how bad a state Gutknecht was in from the Groves fight. I'd rather see a fight stopped a punch too soon than a punch too late.

Wlad was stuck in the corner so it's hard for the ref to see clearly and also he could take a big shot and be held up by the ropes and the ref cannot really intervene easily. The ref saw AJ throwing bombs and WK stuck in the corner not throwing back so it's a good stoppage considering all the shots he took to that point in the round.

Wlad may have been defending those last shots, but coming off of those knockdowns he needed to do more than that. Refs often say "you gotta show me something" when a fight gets to such a critical juncture to give the guy every last opportunity, and Wlad just wasn't throwing back. If you're seriously hurt, dropped twice, and do nothing more than try to defend the onslaught being rained on you on the ropes shortly afterwards, it's hard to really complain about the stoppage.

Yep had Wlad been throwing back it likely would not have been stopped. I was shocked that none of those punches were landing though.

    No.

Wlad was bounced off the canvas twice that round and gave very little in return when Joshua closed in for the kill. The stoppage was fine.
