Max Kellerman thought the fight was stopped 'prematurely'. Do you agree?

Great stoppage at the perfect time. He gave wlad the oppertunity. There always will be that small doubt that maybe wlad could have came back. Although he was gone...he actually took the knockdowns surprisingly well. In that he got back up and was still aware enough to use his feet to try and get out the way of aj,s punches.

But it would have been iresponsible to let that go on. I think with stoppages you ve got to take into account who,s fighting to an extent. You dont want to get to the stage a 41 year old mans defenceless against someone like aj. It was about to get to that stage by the looks of things. Think it was a perfect stoppage. Good refereeing. Gave him the chance. And stopped it before he became defenceless.

Guys this isn't the Lightweight division. These guys are just gigantic. Anytime you've been knocked down multiple times in a Heavyweight fight and then get backed up to the ropes and don't throw any punches back it's time to call it day. Joshua is too powerful for the ref to allow him to just tee off on a defenseless opponent.

I think the stoppage was fair and in some degree correct one, but I'm 100% sure Joshua was gassed and his tank was totally empty when ref stopped the fight.

Kellerman has ne boxed a round in his life,. He is where he is thanks to his daddies money and influence He was trying to get Wlad to complain about the stoppage and Joshua's win but Wlad refused. I'm waiting for the day when a fighter reacts to Kellermab's BS and decks the rabid Chihuahua/ believe me it'll happen & its overdue

I thought it was a good stoppage

Wlad was still defending himself and none of Joshua's shots in the corner were landing clean but the fight was only going one way at that point. It might only have taken 1 or 2 of those shots to land clean and send Wlad to sleep so the ref done well to save Wlad from taking further unnessecsary punishment, the fight was done as a contest.

Yes, Joshua was more on his feet. I agree. Wlad was out of it and on shakey legs, the stoppage was very good.

    Good call.

Been watching this sport a long time. Wlad was VERY hurt after the second KD. It could have been stopped then.

Ok stoppage. Could have let go a bit longer till a big punch landed. But safety comes first

He's not only awful, he hasn't improved at all in all this time. He only got the job because of his father, and the way they ousted Merchant was disgusting. Kellerman is not only the worst commentator in boxing, but the worst in all of sport. The guy is a disgrace.

I really saw Wladimir dodging and blocking effectively after the second knockdown. Also I don't think Joshua landed a single punch in that final flurry. Joshua may have been all punched out had Wlad survived the round. How crazy would Wladimir by KO-12 be after all that transpired??
All that said though, like a previous poster said, god forbid if Joshua had landed another monster punch. Solid stoppage. I do see where Wladimir was coming from by saying that though.

Fair and reasonable stoppage. Wlad was going down again soon and perhaps getting hurt in the process.

I am usually the first to complain about a quick stoppage and I know the last flurry didn't really land well, but I think Wlad have given everything he had to give and with the bombs Joshua was throwing one more solid shot could have really hurt Wlad. I think the stoppage was ok:lupie:
