Yeah the same men who looked up at him like jesus when he put them on the mat.
Their words don't match the footage at all. And they all have a chip on their shoulder.
Lasting a few rounds with a gorilla and not being mentally scared makes them seem badass.

The guys who are "out of the race" so to speak aren't afraid of talking about his power.

The likelihood of replicating anyone elses results three times in a row is unlikely.
Do I think he is capable of doing so? yes.

But he's at serious durability disadvantage here.
He is more powerful thank Povetkin, but marginally so compared to the durability difference.
Having said that, Golovkin is full of surprises so who knows. He had Andy Ruiz begging for mercy in a wrestling match. And that dude has 100lb on him.

Now, give Golovkin 20 extra pounds of pure frame like Rocky?
    He'd mess em up.

Ok, I get it. The sparring partners who agree with you are genuine and confident, the real life opponents who don't agree with you aren't. Convenient.

Wouldn't say their words don't match the footage. It's not like those guys are all trying to deny that he has great power. Depends on the baseline expectations about Golovkin's power... If the baseline is people insisting that he hits harder than big cruiserweights and top heavyweights, and these middleweights want to dispute that kind of hype, who am I to disagree with them?

    Well here's the thing.
EVERYONE knows that Golovkin hits hard.
So guys like Stevens, who's face is synonymous with Golovkins power, isn't fooling anyone.

Who was the other guy who claimed he wasn't powerful? Brook?
When Louis said Carnera wasn't that strong, he didn't have to go to the hospital for his orbital bone.

So you're telling me that all these sparring partners and opponents are liars?
And that the guys who still need to hype their own careers aren't? Convenient.

I disagree anyone good stops him at 175. Just because Maxim "stopped" him under extreme conditions doesn't mean every very good fighter would imo. Robinson weighed in comfortably under the middleweight limit and had been around a long long time by the time he fought Maxim. He was also flogging him.

Robinson was mostly beatable at 160 after his comeback when he got a bit hit or miss. Given his career stage fight wise and age wise it's hardly surprising. Guys like Hagler and Monzon were retired at these stages. If not they would have been racking up the losses too, guaranteed. It's crazy that SRR could still collect titles really. He was beaten by Turpin first career but avenged it immediately. Turpin was his second loss in about 130 fights and his first was as a fledgling welterweight to a fully fledged middleweight in LaMotta. He'd been belting middleweights (and above) of varying ability for years prior to the Turpin loss.

I think he'd fare ok vs some very good 175's. Certainly not get stopped every time.

    Gladly my good man.

For starters he has crap footwork or none at all and stands strait upright. He leans back over his back foot while holding his guard at near waist level and shuffles his hands ( apparently thinking he's going to baffle his opponent. ) and when he sees what he believes as an opening, he lunges in with his hands down. Go to any boxing gym and see if you can find anyone fighting like that. Better yet I encourage you to study willard's movements, practice them religiously and go spar with any respectable teenage amateur.. then come back here and tell us how it went ;)

sorry but everything shows wishful thinking........no need to cover my points here. He covers more distance with power? Sorry its called boxing not mauling,it worked for him in his day bc guys didnt move as much and were undersized by todays standards. his reach is a MAJOR problem and he didnt have speed hes clearly slow as molasses even to some 230 pounder plus's today.End of.

joshua wouldnt even be allowed to fight Marciano today,IF he were a Hw well joshua would have to meet him coming up,bc Marciano isnt getting a title shot.....hes just not.

Are you stealing a page out of my book Mr.Magoo? Because i challenge anyone to fight like louis and tell me how that goes in a real gym....they wont bc they would get knocked out,and that challenge continues bc i want to see the flawless style of louis...it doesnt is the answer, just watch Joe parker Hw and see his louis like stance and how he gets hit easily. That low gurad parrying is out dated...guys who fight like that get hit with simple jabs ,counter rights. Only VERY tall guys can keep hands down outside RJJ who has footwork.

I'm asking why you think it.

Carnera was the first challenger who was made a favourite over the HW champion.

I picked Josh to destroy Wlad, couldn't believe how competitive it was.

I just don't get how super heavyweights that were filmed in black and white get no credit? Why is this?

A super heavyweight is a SHW no matter the era.

Don't people understand it's hard to nail a smaller fighter and look as fluid when there is a speed deficit?

the maxim fight was him naturally exerting to much energy that's why he tired, maxim as everyone knows wasn't nearly as badly tired/dehydrated. He was nt superman, its hard to see him beating a world class light heavy. You pick the best 175lb'rs over the years and honestly ask yourself how he wins. I think SRR is p4p the best fighter ever. But he aint breezing through the light heavys with his skill alone, size will always be a problem in the later rounds heat or no heat

I'm referring to Archie Moore!LOLThe Wlad of Saturday night would have beaten Walcott and Charles imo.
