Pulev won't take the step aside money and I suspect Ortiz would so if Joshua wants to hang onto both belts that looks like the way forward. If Joshua vacates the IBF then Pulev would fight Wlad or Takam for that belt.

Pulev is a step up from the likes of Molina etc but clearly is not on Wlad's level.

You think Pulev is too slow and cite speed as the necessary attribute to defeat Joshua but think L. Ortiz is the man to do it?:dunno I actually do agree Ortiz is a dangerous opponent for AJ though, and one I expect Hearn/Joshua will swerve.

I agree, think Ortiz give a every HW problems.

I thought Hearn signed Ortiz to raise his UK profile, because the AJ fight was due to happen in the future! But Allen and Malik aren't great fights to raise your profile really.

WBA said they'll allow the Wlad/AJ winner a fight other than Ortiz if it's for a validreason. Obviously a unification is a valid reason, but with Pulev being mandatory I'd be very surprised if Joshua fought anyone else as Pulev is probably the easiest out of his options atm (still no pushover!)

Ortiz will get beat down. Great skills rate him. But takes too many punches to land his own. You cant afford to do that with joshua.

Got to remember jennings actually outpunched ortiz. Think he landed something like 146 to ortiz,s 126.

Yeah could see Ortiz stopping AJ, even after last nights performance.. isn't he with Hearn ? Like you say, skilled southpaw, and I'd say tough enough to hang for a bit then start landing the left after a few rounds. Styles

Joshua batters Ortiz , when will some of you get it in your head that he's a novice who's improving all the time?

It'd certainly be a good test for him. Whilst Ortiz isn't very fast, he can time you very well. Allen was speaking about him before saying he hits you with a lot that you can't see coming. I think someone who can counter like that is a difficult fight for AJ. That said, he hasn't looked impressive for a little while.

Ortiz or Pulev are both good fights to follow this one. Pulev would probably get stopped but he has a decent jab and would make AJ work

They won't get it in their heads because their thick, AJ Will beat them all and the guy with a picture of his back will still pick holes in him

That's how I see it too. Ortiz has fast hands, but his legs are stuck in quick sand which spells disaster against a big mobile Joshua. It would be a wide points win for AJ or a late stoppage IMO. I'd like that fight next, or AJ vs Parker for another belt, then Wilder!
