No , i wasn't talking about out of prime fights of Tyson, i was talking about his fight with Holyfield where he was
    not out of his prime.
He was 30 years old , maybe he was slightly out of his prime , but not too far, he was knocking out the same
level of opposition at that time as he did pre-prison.

I see the fight as very very similar to the first Bruno fight or the berbick fight.....AJ would need to learn the lennox lewis, wladimir klictho Emmanuel steward taught cheating tactic of jumping up on mike in the clinches and leaning down on his noggin.....

Hahha you think Tyson at 30 was the same as Tyson at 25 even.....you must be mad. Seldom have two persons been so different.

1991 Tyson-Incredible will to win and chin and heart. Slipping skills and defence but still a powerpuncher who lets his hands go.

1995-96 Tyson...weight trainining pumped up guy a lot slower than before, reliant on rep, behind it no longer able to fight with desire past 5, hesitant, unconfident, skills even more deterioted

That's amazing. You're saying Tyson is overated while referring to Wlad!? hahahahaah Yea Wlad had a ton of impressive names on his resume lol. And Wlad only beat them because of his size! Tyson was always at a severe disadvantage being a short HW and still pretty much wrecked everyone during his prime. But just shows what you know bringing up Tyson vs Lewis. That fat out of shape, completely shot version of Tyson shouldn't have even been fighting anymore and was only there to collect a pay check. Prime Tyson would Ko lewis and Wlad inside 3-4 rounds. The HW's back then were loads better than the HWs of recent years. Back then being the Heavyweight champ of the world meant something. In recent years, nobody outside of hardcore boxing fans cared anymore, and there's a reason for that.

If nobody cares why were 90.000 in the Wembley Stadium ?

Tell me one fighter Tyson ever fought who was even remotely on the same level as Wladimir Klitschko.
His best win is an old Larry Holmes and a former LHW Michael Spinks.

Wlad would have beaten all of his opponents, Mike Tyson is a great fighter but you guys need to stop
saying he would destroy every big elite heavyweight in a couple of rounds.

Mike Tyson had tough fights with all the elite guys he fought, he never dominated one elite fighter in a
way that you can say he would beat other great heavyweights and with elite fighter i mean really "elite" ,
not someone like Tony Tubbs or Frank Bruno.

Mike Tyson is a historical hypejob, he was never that good, Buster Douglas and Evander Holyfield exposed
him and his fans need to make excuses because they want to believe he is the best ever.

Tyson had hype around him no doubt but that doesn't mean he was a hype job pre prision. you don't outclass everyone for four years as champ if you are not a special fighter, despite what you say he had fairly good competition weighed against other greats, why pick on Tyson? you are talking about Tyson right now for a reason, that reason is he is the forefront of every conversation when someone wants to compare their new favourite fighter to him. He was a great fighter, you wouldn't be talking about him right now, 30 years after his prime if "he wasn't that good".

He was great, no doubt about it , but he was not "that" good in terms of knocking every legit ATG or elite
fighter out in the first round, this is the problem with his fans.

I wouldn't say all Tyson fans are like that. you get some that are realistic and realise he would have a hard time with guys like Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe. Problem is Tyson wasn't at his best by the time he came back in the mid 90s so we cant say with any certainty what would have happened, as with other great fighters that are around but not at their best. When Holmes came back and got his ass handed to him by Tyson people would say that wasnt Holmes at his best, it wasnt. When Tyson got his ass kicked by Lewis he wasnt at his best either, nearly 15 years removed.

I find extreme Tyson detractors use a different set of rules when it comes to him. A well balanced view is realising Tyson before prison was a handful for any great win or lose, even 91 version, but he wasn't invincible either, who was in boxing history?

My point or many on this thread is its too early to imagine Joshua beating him at this point, he looks easy to hit which would be a nightmare against Tyson, he would need better boxing skills to break Mike down at a distance, the bursts he does would leave himself open, like it did with Wlad. Maybe one day he will get to that point who knows. I am looking forward to seeing how he goes anyway, he seems like the kind of fighter that picks things up, he could end up a real nightmare. this guy is no Bruno (respect to Frank), in fact his mentality seems more like Tyson, he openly admits he wants to hurt people, I believe him....

Again: I think Joshua could have beaten Mike at his absolute best. But I'd have given Mike a real chance.

Like I mentioned earlier, if we had a time machine, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw Evander beat a prime version of Mike, followed by Joshua beating Evander, and then Mike beating Joshua.

It's what makes boxing so intriguing.

He was out of his prime.

He didn't possess the head movement of old, and he became over reliant on his power. He wasn't as sharp with his combinations, and was less patient.

You can say that some people overrate Mike. They do. But now you're overhyping Wlad.

    Who was Wlad's best win?

What elite fighter did he dominate?

It's not a given that Wlad would have beaten all of Mike's opponents. And when you say that, do you mean ALL of his opponents, or just the ones that Mike beat?

    Mike beat some good opponents.

Wlad is a great HW. But let's not forget his losses to non great fighters, and his struggles against the likes of Peter.

Yeah , it is difficult to say wether Anthony Joshua would beat prime Mike Tyson or not , i think i watch some
Mike Tyson fights again to make a better prediction, at the moment i'm not really sure.

Prime Tyson would never ever loose to a 41 year old.................and he would not have to get off the mat to beat him.

A 19 fight novice who fought nothing but shid until WK will not beat a prime Tyson........

You throw ANY top level fighter in the can for three years and they will never be same after no matter how hard they train. Fact.

All tall/big Heavyweights Tyson faced could not cope with the speed of foot/hand and his elusiveness.

A complete washed up , stoned Tyson waxed Andrew Golata, a pretty big, skilled guy with mental issues, basically with ONE shot and broke/fractured bones with that ONE shot.............watch in slow motion the body shots a disinterested Tyson landed on a wincing Bruno I .............you acn fault Bruno for many things but raw strengh he was never criticized for.....he was as strong as a ox and Tyson man handled him in the clinches with ease.
