Yes for years, and yes often. I didnt say anything about Marciano. I commented on Ezzards description of an uppercut and you thinking thats what an arm punch is.

Marciano had many many uppercuts, not just this one.
He was a world class puncher with a dynamic arsenal.

LMAO. Why don't you try answering the question (I'm asking for a reason). I'm not really interested in participating in any silly video challenge though. By the way, whatever happened to the video of your punching that you posted previously? If you're so proud of your technique and power would you mind reupping?

And for what it's worth, I've been told that I hit very hard too, at least in my uppercuts, right hooks and right jabs (when I go southpaw). My crosses are kind of trash though, tbh, due to my body mechanics (at least that's what I tell myself).

Honestly you can generate power in a punch like that.
Put to generate great power you need to extend yourself a bit, like Joshua, Foreman, Carnera, Marciano, etc.
Power punchers use short arm punches sometimes, but it is an arm punchers punch.

But people with shoulder snapping punching have a wider variety of punching technique.

But Rockys is better. He's carrying that shoulder snap throughout the entire motion. It's a ridiculously powerful punch that you could only land if you were training hardcore in the gym for months. It's not crude, it's a highly refined x factor punch.

So you're not talking about Rocky? Then I don't know what your'e comparing against.
Do you think Rockys uppercut is technically sound, or not?

I have to disagree skills dont lie, tyou can ALWAYS evaluate ones skills and see how they might do against better opposition. It doesnt matter what fights are missing the toughest guys like lastarza ,Walcott(ONE) and Charles shows he would not only struggle with Joshua but not even steop foot in the same ring...he simply didnt have the genetics physically,or speed something he would need for such a fighter to make up a distance.

Great video. Marciano is a lot more skilled than this forum thinks. Goldman designed a style for Rocky that maximized his tools, rocky fought using every inch of leverage, and Goldman taught him how to get low and use his torso to make himself a small target. Again, no one used leverage like Marciano.

Nasty uppercut by Marciano, great finish. Marciano threw punches at all angles. Very unpredictable.

Its not horrible because he followed it up with a punch immediately after that so he wasnt off balance for long, and his opponent was reeling anyway, not in a position to counter.

Again why do you keep calling short punches arm punches???

Wide punches are more likely to be arm punches that is just and undisputable fact.

It is also a fact that the wider the punch is the harder it is to use shoulder snap becuase snapping is a SHORT explosive motion and if you try to snap a punch that is wide and travels a long arc the punch will slow down halfway and it becomes more of a pushing punch, thats just Biomechanics.

Also because of LEVERAGE that wide punch is more likely to become an arm punch because if your arm is extended and open, the lever(from your fist to your shoulder) is longer and the kinetic chain is broken more easily and the knetic chain will most likely break at the shoulder therefore taking the drive from your legs hips and core out of the equation and making it an arm punch.

If you have learned shoulder snap(which isnt easy it took me months) you know this.
Since you dont have the physical experience yet to get it(which is ok) I put it in terms of basic biomechanics

I appreciate and respect your opinion.

The way I see it, fighting those kinds of guys, they are the types to spoil a fighter like Rocky.
Those same guys were also spoiling Louis. Charles and Walcott might not have the size, but they have the skill to spoil any great fighter.

Look at Jacobs vs. Golovkin. Some are saying it proves that Golovkin is getting weaker, doesn't hit hard, etc.
In reality, Golovkin folded him with a tap to the chin. But Jacobs fought a spoiler kind of fight, making it hard for Gennady to land shots on him the way he did on other opponents.

I don't think Joshua has that same skill or elusively.
If he is going to make Marciano miss, its by putting him out.

    No no no no no.

Golovkin KO Ishida was a wide punch. You call that an arm punch? Hell nah.
You might perceive it as such, because maybe you don't have shoulder snap, so if you were to throw wide like that, you get no leverage. Not the same with Rocky, or Dempsey, or Tyson.

And arm punch is like a Pacquaio 1-2. Very short distance, very quick, punching from the elbow essentially, with help getting power from your lower body.

Here is my power, on a cool down after 2-3 hours of training, and I couldn't feel my legs.

There are a few uppercuts in there.

I been in the gym for less than a year.

    How bout you guys?
You called me out on my personal technique, here it is.
Now I'm calling you out on your personal technique.

If you guys are so confident about your techniques, mind upping some footage?

You dont know what an arm punch is.
The Golovkin punch was an overhand right, thats not what im talking about. Im talking about hooks and uppercuts.
Do me a favor. Stand up and walk to a wall. then make a "T" with your arms. put the left arm down. now while your right arm is perpendicular(90 degrees out from your body and extended) push your palm against the wall with your arm extended and turn your hips in like you would with a right hook(since you're a southpaw). Notice how your arm bent backwards at the shoulder while your hips and torso kept turning? Thats because your extended arm is a longer lever and that means your kinetic chain was broken more easily. now try the same thing with your elbow bent at 90 degrees instead of just an extended arm. Notice how you can push harder against the wall without your arm bending back at the soulder? Shorter Lever more solid Kinetic Chain. If your Kinetic chain is broken then iit becomes an arm punch....
Shoulder snap is just a whipping motion you add before impact, all principles above still apply

I know what shoulder snap is i boxed for years. You keep calling short punches arm punches and talking about "elite haymakers" and im telling you, its a lot harder to snap a wide/open hook or uppercut(closer to 180 degrees at the elbow) than a shorter one (closer to 90 degrees) and its more likely to be an arm punch if a hook or uppercut is wide/open and i gave you a detailed scientific explanation and i even gave you a way you can test it for yourself right now. THIS IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE.
