This guy is truly a full blown diva! He expects everyone to bend the rules for him and play under his own rules.

Canelo being scared of Golovkin made it look like he was scared of Golovkin.

He completely bends the facts about what was going on. He knew waaaaaaay before this that he needed to fight his mandatory (the interim champion even) if he won the WBC belt, which he basically shouldn't even have won because Cotto vacated it just before the fight took place for not wanting to fight Golovkin next and pay step aside money to the interim champion for the second time.
Every interview, press conference etc always mentioned the next man the winner had to fight, then he got an exception to fight a chinny welter instead.
All the WBC wanted from Canelo was to sign the contract within 15 days after the Khan fight (he even got another extension) or go to pursebids. Which is a normal procedure and was always known by every party involved.

Him getting to fight for the WBC 160 belt while never even having fought at the weight, against a guy that never fought at the weight and actually dropped it before the fight was already an exception. Then he got another exception for an easy highlight reel KO defence, and then he wanted another to try and force all kinds of diva perks upon his opponent without any written contract to confirm to actually fight the guy now.
He opted to keep f*cking around, and dropped the belt before the WBC got around stripping him. IF THEY ACTUALLY WOULD HAVE... The WBC has given so many exceptions to the divas, fans actually expected them to again bend over for big money. But maybe Canelo knew he took it too far and dropped it.

I hope Jr knocks this diva out

Can someone tell me how there are 15 days between Dec 15 and May 2016?
Actually this clown knew Golovkin is mandatory in the summer of 2015 when he signed the Cotto fight.

CEJ lost his pen, Canelo lost his calendar.

He was given 15 days following the Khan bout to agree to terms for the Triple G fight.

Yeah and his diva status will go up another notch after this, idiots shouldn't have spouted off about being born ready etc if in their minds they were never gonna face Golovkin, such a lame ass situation, his anger should be directed at Oscar I mean did Canelo really think that fans would believe that storyline about artificial deadlines, truth is it shocked him how things turned and how he ended up the butt of so many memes.

I side with Canelo. He has explained himself well and that Sulaimán did the Cinco de Mayo belt to spite Canelo after it was apparent that Canelo was not going to fight for a WBC belt. Sulaimán did the whole thing about the Cinco de Mayo belt (which everybody around here mocked lets be real) and said that indigenous people of Mexico made the belt and that Canelo not wanting to fight for it was an insult to the indigenous people. That whole thing was Sulaimán trying to make Canelo look bad again, acting like he doesn't care about the indigenous people of Mexico which is a lie. It's that Canelo does not respect the WBC after the disrespect they showed him last year.

FYI there is another Canelo video at Fight Hype's youtube channel that you should watch, and it has better english subtitles if you can get that feature working. The Video is called "Canelo "I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO W/THE WBC! BUSINESS INTERESTS BEHIND THAT BELT". Please watch that video.

For all ya'll calling Canelo a diva and all that jazz, grow the F up. It's very clear what Sulaimán is trying to do here, and I was right when I said that Sulaimán did the Cinco de Mayo belt as a way to apologize to Canelo after what he pulled last year forcing him to vacate. And when Canelo last week said he won't accept the Cinco de Mayo belt, then Sulaimán said all that stuff about how the indiginous people of Mexico made the belt and what not. Canelo knows the indiginous people of Mexico, he has known them all his life, but Sulaimán just has an axe to grind with Canelo, Canelo will not fight for ANY WBC belt, when he fights Triple G it will not be for the WBC Title.

Thank you Canelo for explaining the situation. You are right to stay with your principles. You do not fight for a Title that has disrespected you so much, and made you look like you were scared of Triple G or not appriciative of the indiginous people of Mexico. Sulaimán should be ashamed of himself for disrespecting Canelo so much and hurting Canelo's reputation. This is Canelo Era. Canelo only fights for belts that respect him and don't lie about him and make him look bad. Good for you Canelo. **** the WBC, a.k.a. "We Be Crooks". Sulaimán can make his stupid Cinco de Mayo belt but it's too late Sulaimán, you can't make up belts you idiot !

Let Triple G keep his stinking WBC title what a joke that organization is!

Canelo is correct in exposing the WBC for the greedy organization that it is. The Cinco de Mayo belt is a joke, and Sulaimán talking about the indigenous people of Mexico is just a ploy to try to force Canelo to accept that joke of a belt and give the WBC the sanctioning fee they crave.

However, Canelo's anger with the WBC stems from the wrong reasons, namely, the debacle with Golovkin last year. The WBC merely enforced its rules, as it would do for any other fighter as well. Does Canelo expect "special" treatment because of his status or nationality?

Your expose of the WBC is brilliant and quite correct, but you take the focus away from Canelo's own faillings. He wanted special treatment from the WBC, plain and simple.

And now you act like belts don't matter. But when you thought Canelo was getting the WBC Cinco de Mayo belt you defended its value:

Indeed. And actually they already had given him special treatment enough, upto a point where fans and press alike started to get pretty sick of it.
They even let him fight Khan, while the WBC stated beforehand that there wouldn't be any more delays for the long overdue mandatory.
Canelo wanted extensions and tuneups until the cows come home, and then he wanted extension on the cows and they couldn't come home weighing over 155.
