No. He should be chasing a fight with Joshua, Ortiz, Klitschko, Parker etc. Although Bellew already has the better resume, but I'd still watch the fight.
Brits would be sad. Everybody else would say, "dude, it's just Tony Bellew." And those people would be right.
Tony Bellew in England is a good payday for Wilder and perfect to move Wilder directly to a cash-out fight with Joshua.
Make Wilder and Joshua an amazing fight, if he beats Bellew with ease. Wilder needs this fight, he wins he becomes a name in the UK and Builds a fight with Joshua. No other name is better than Bellew.
Ironically, if Wilder does indeed fight Bellew he would make his career high payday, probably something like $4-5 million with UK PPV money. So once Wilder wins that and has this money safely in the bank, I would hope he feels a bit more confident to take a risk. Maybe against Parker/Pulev level opposition.
No they wouldn't, Tony Bellew just beat the bogey man of the division. There is still many who think Bellew can make waves in the division.

The only acceptable fight(s) for Wilder at this point are Joshua, Parker, or Wlad. That is it. No more handpicked bums. No more optional fights against subpar soft opposition.
I speculate that Wilder would be willing to cash out against Joshua, but not before going against someone on the level of Bellew. I suspect that he'd reckon that Parker and Wlad constitute too much risk and too little money on which to cash out.
