Thats the short uppercut is what arm punchers use.
Special punchers use that punch too, but they also have a much wider range of dynamic uppercuts in their arsenal.

    I've already said this though.
No dude, you're totally right. I don't appreciate the technique of uppercuts. I only throw about 100's of them a day.

Again you have this "nose in the air" bratty elitism attitude. And you've created a delusion where you see yourself as an arbiter of technique, despite having less experience in your whole life than in Rockys toe nail.
You're critiquing the merits of highly refined and technically maximized power punches thrown by some of the baddest men to lace em up. At some point you have to realize how dumb that is, and look in the mirror, and start questioning your belief system.

And did you see the hundreds of short uppercuts Marciano threw too?

If you're referring to the type of uppercuts that Tyson is throwing as arm punches then you don't know what an arm punch is. This isn't subject to debate or reasonable disagreement.

Anyway...Nice try. I'm no arbiter of technique--the type of things I point out are very basic and widely understood by many people here. You'd recognize a lot more of this stuff too but, sadly, you seem to be too much of a fanboy for your own good. I admire the unabashed child-like awe that you have for these great fighters but it's unfortunate that you think we have to uncritically glorify everything they do, or base our understanding of proper technique and form based on streamables and knockout highlights against overmatched and hurt opponents.

    You're not hearing me skippy.
The short uppercuts are used by arm punchers.
Elite punchers ALSO use short uppercuts, but on top of that, they have a wide range of dynamic uppercuts.

    Get it?

You call legendary top 10 boxers technically deficient.
    You are stupid.

I would be embarrassed for you if you weren't so obstinately ignorant and so disingenuous with your cherry-picking. The first Douglas uppercut was short enough, the second came when Tyson was already in trouble. The first Shavers uppercut was so effective because he was illegally holding his man's head down with his other glove. Norton, of course, was a dead man walking when Shavers finally put him away with that wild uppercut. Interestingly, it seemed to me that the punch that got Norton in trouble in the first place was a crisp, powerful, compact uppercut that Shavers threw with great form a little earlier, before the first knockdown.

No. What you are saying makes no sense. It's nonsense. Arm punchers can use long or short uppercuts alike, as can non-arm punchers. You either don't know what you're talking about or you're just not good at communicating it. Skippy.

I'm slowly realizing that you are not worth arguing with...
You have some weird mental blocks.

I get it. You really, really want stupid, mean, evil men like me to stop saying unflattering things about your heroes. If a great fighter does something, then no mere mortal should ever dare critique or complain about it.

Maybe, I could be wrong, but I can't think of many examples.
    Maybe Nasee Hamed?

No, I want people to stop polluting discussions with junk logic.
But then again, what I want doesn't matter.
