Ali was a great fighter but in another era, he never fought with someone as big and powerful as AJ. Ali would only have a chance if he would run the entire fight and if he would try to land occasionally with his jab and not to get hit, this would be the only chance to win. He couldn't hurt AJ with his punching power, never mind knocking him out, if i would give someone a chance from the 70s it would only be Muhammad Ali because of his footwork and ring intelligence, but it is much more likely that he gets caught by AJ and knocked out within the first 5 rounds.
ANYONE who doesnt win EASY is NO match for the great Ali bc we all know he defeated everyone EASY dont we? ......
Well it's not as though Foreman was massively the bigger man in there Ali wasn't exactly a midget. Foreman then simply had stamina issues because he was blowing people away, even when you look at his great slug fest with Lyle in his next fight he was gassing pretty early. Ironically as an old man in his 2nd career his stamina wasn't an issue although his obvious greater experience then helped him.
No contest. Ali would psych-out the young Joshua pre-fight, and then beat him up over 10-12 rounds. Joshua "retires" in his own corner.
Of course it's no contest. Joshua is an amateur level pro as he has not beaten one prime great contender (there are none) and would gas himself trying to land on Ali.
Ali gets crazed looks in various fights. The fight and it's result bears out how confident he was. You do not beat that Foreman being scared. Ali was extremely watchful whilst not being being afraid to let his hands go. Ali is a master of mental warefare and really did a job on Foreman.
Is there any possible way that Joshua/Klitschko could have unfolded which would have convinced you Joshua was worthy of his Heavyweight World Champion status? Can I ask you also, do you think Muhammad Ali is overrated in any way?
AJ is probably a harder puncher than Foreman was, Foreman was an arm puncher with 220 pounds and Anthony Joshua puts his whole body in his punches with 250 pounds, AJ is faster as well. Anthony Joshua is also more skilled than George Foreman and showed a good chin in his fight with Wlad, Ali would have a tougher fight with AJ than he had with Foreman.
Joshua was puffing like he was having a heart attack after a few short rounds. Suicide in a bout with the greatest hwt ever in Ali. Ali never has a big problem beating the huge big punchers of his time. It was the smaller skilled hwts who could better match his speed that gave Ali problems. Ali would eat Joshua for breakfast. ATG pro vs an 18 fight unproven amateur level opponent.
