Deontay Wilder would have been the first man to stop a prime Bowe.

It's the power punching that will eventually get to Bowe here, we've seen Bowe dropped by Holyfield, whom punches considerably softer than Deontay Wilder. We've also seen crisp jabs by Deontay, I could see Deontay replicating Golota's early successes and outjabbing Bowe. With those 2 factors, I see Wilder koing him.

Well, that is a fair post I must give you that young man.

Prime for prime I would say Bowe 55/45, so close no doubt. Power edge I give to Wilder but I still think Wilder is a little too unpolished for Bowe. I could also see Bowe hurting Wilder as I'm not sold on Wilders jaw quite yet. Not until he faces one of the other top guys and I see how he reacts will I give him a full jaw pass. It obviously isn't bad as he got this far. However, Bowe IMO has the more proven Jaw of the two at the moment.

All in all I would pick Bowe by decision or KO.

Bowe had a granite chin during his prime.

I just hope MVC isn't doing this thread as some type of guilty penance towards Wilder after he showed the forum he was displeased with Wilder????????

If I find out this was your reasoning for this thread you're in a lot of trouble MVC!!!!!!!

Full disclosure: I don't really like either of these guys.

That out of the way, Bowe was miles better than Wilder.

Wilder's eggshell chin would disintegrate in the first exchange, is what I think.

Boxing at range would be problematic too, because Bowe has a better jab than Washington and we all saw what happened there.

Wilder's only hope would be to swing for the fences and hope to land a bomb. Let's be fair: it's possible. Bowe wasn't hard to land on (neither is Wilder) and he could be knocked down by a big hitter. But here's the difference: Bowe got up, and fought on. After getting shelled by Holyfield and Golota. So did Wilder, I guess, after the famous Dustin Nichols check jab flattened him and after he was saved by the bell vs Sconiers. But I humbly submit that Golota and Holyfield > Nichols and Sconiers.

If it becomes a war I think Bowe has more heart than Wilder, is more proven and if necessary will rabbit punch him and sock him in the nuts to chill him out.

Until we see more from him, Wilder has a puncher's chance, nothing more.
