The dug up remains of Mike Tyson lasted longer than the best ever version of Vitali against the worst ever Lewis .. lololol wtf does Williams vs Tyson got to do with anything?? Zico Marotack was prime when he fought Lewis just like Vitali was. He boxed better than Vitali who was flailing all over the ring like a drunken navvy. Then there's the state of his face
I can't believe some people are picking Vitali. He didn't beat anyone good enough to be rated so high h2h. Fighters have to prove themselves and he didn't. In fact, he lost to the only 2 good fighters he stepped in the ring with.
Amazing how Wlad should still be judged as "prime" at 41 but 37/38 year old Lewis was old fat and shot. You bring nothing to the argument or discussion.
I don't spend much time of forums, but are there really people claiming Wlad is in his prime or that Lewis wasn't well past his prime?! Both were clearly well past their prime and both should have retired before their last fights.
Lewis was not the dedicated obsessed athlete outside the ring Wlad is. Wlad never over looked anybody like Lewis did and his commitment to his body and the game was far superior to Lewis at that age of his life. Don't lie to yourself to try win an argument.
I remember Gipsy King outboxing Wlad something like ten rounds to two. Also he was loosing in cards against Joshua
Huh. Never would have figured that one. Good for you, it's Dino appreciation week for me, whoda thunk it
Better out than in, you will feel better for it. I re-watched Toney/Oldyfield last night…is it James Toney? ….Lewis and the Bytchkos didn't want none….
13 st cooper smashed Ali to the floor Louis looked **** poor against schmeling Marciano only beat smaller fighters etc etc. There isn't a great fighter past or present whos record career cant be pulled a part, you know that. Take your pick Bowe. Most would want to see him dominate longer before bigging him up to no 1. I'm not one of them, but I got no probs anyone laughing at it
You should have made the poll public? Can you change it? There a Wlad fanboy weirdo who runs about 20 alt accounts . Id like to find out who he is..
Yep - I don't think a half interested Tyson v Spinks in 88 was the best Tyson. Once he got to the top he almost seemed to lose interest. In a hypothetical world - a 1987 Tyson has his mind on the game and would be seeing any H2H against an ATG as something to fully train for, study up on and plan out, put everything on the line for. His mental weaknesses seemed to come into play after that year. Tyson lacked size, but this sort of played into his constant movement peak-a-boo defense. I watched the Bonecrusher fight and remember although there was no highlight reel KO, Smith hardly touched Tyson. Tyson's defensive skill-set was a whole different part of his game that I'd love to see play out in a ATG match-up. He wouldn't be head-hunting, he'd be boxing in serious mode.
