Right now, it's a pick 'em fight for me. But Povetkin is getting old and won't be able to fight at the top much longer. What I'd like to see is a battle of the bruisers. Ortiz vs Povetkin: both are bangers. Both have been popped for drugs. This would be a fun fight to watch.

Wlad had him doing it several times aside from the knockdown, altho he does recover fairly well if you don't keep the pressure on which Povetkin would certainly do. Cannot see Hearn biting tbh, we'll see Whyte II and some other recycled bums if Wlad doesn't rematch him. Ryabinsky would need to find a huge purse.

A younger, closer to his prime Wladimir Klitschko failed to KO Povetkin with his best punches. And Wladimir Klitschko evidently punches MUCH MUCH more powerfully than Anthony Joshua. And Alexander Povetkin has never been stopped in his amateur or pro career spanning over 300 bots and only Wladimir Klitschko ever managed to drop him LEGITIMATELY. And a washed up Carlos Takam who was previously brutally knocked out by Alexander Povetkin in 2014 during his prime went 10 rounds against Joshua last year and wasn't even close to getting knocked out. Remember, it's Anthony Joshua who has been stopped multiple times and dropped more times than Povetkin. If anybody gets stopped in this bout, it's more likely Joshua than Povetkin. Joshua's punches don't have much concussive knockout power. Let's get real! How many clean knockouts has he scored? Most of his 'knockouts' come as 'typical British stoppages' which are merely controversial stoppage wins. Alexander Povetkin already proved he punches with just as much power, if not more power than Joshua or Wilder when he knocked Duhapas out cold, the same guy Wilder couldn't even drop. Povetkin knocked Carlos Takam out clean and Joshua needed a typical British stoppage to win and wasn't even close to knocking Takam out clean like Povetkin did. Trust me, if it's a mismatch, then it's only a mismatch against Joshua. Joshua was getting stopped by the likes of Mihai Nistor at 6 foot 6. Yet, the much smaller Povetkin has never been stopped, despite having more overall boxing bouts professionally and in the amateurs and despite being much smaller in size compared to Joshua. Joshua really doesn't hit as hard as you may think and certainly not as hard as Wladimir Klitschko. Also, Joshua's uppercuts are overrated. He needed to land everything but the kitchen sink on Dillian Whyte before he managed to KO him. Povetkin is miles better than Whyte, has much better chin and defense. Joshua isn't going to KO Povetkin with a single punch because he lacks the power and when a much more powerful puncher in Wladimir Klitschko failed to do so. And Joshua isn't going to be able to land punches at will consecutively on Povetkin like a punching bag as he did on Dillian Whyte and Dominic Brezeale since Povetkin is miles better than them. Joshua's going to get hit back by Povetkin and in a shootout between two power punches who have relatively even power, it's the one with the better chin who usually wins and Povetkin is the one who has the advantage here. Joshua has greater chances of winning if he doesn't take much risks against Povetkin where he puts himself at risk of getting hit whilst trying to KO Povetkin. He'll have far greater chances if he tries to box from the outside but even then, Joshua's out-boxing skills aren't the greatest and Povetkin with slightly more difficulties may still find a way through to defeat Joshua.
