Jr has been training like a mad man and now makes weight effortlessly. On the stare down here is towering over little canelo.
What's sure is that this is the most important fight of their lifes up to now. For both of them. So they better get focused.
Canelo looks very focused and comfortable at this weight, compared to his other fights where he had to struggle to make 154. Who would have thought that they'd both come in at 164 even. We got ourselves a fight ladies and gentlemen. Both look in tremendous shape for this bout. JCC Jr's about to eat a big meal and he's gonna rehydrate himself thoughout the day tomorrow like nobody's business.
The fact Chavez Jr came in 1/2lb under is a great sign, I don't care how he looked, I've seen fighters look almost dead and then go on to produce great displays. Chavez Jr felt he didn't need that 1/2lb and that is a good sign for the fight, these people work on ounces so he must have felt somewhat comfortable. How embarrassing from Canelo though... it wasn't long ago he dropped the WBC title and declared to the world "I'm not a middleweight" and tonight he rolls in at 164lb, what an absolute clown.
I'm not a middleweight. Fights at 164. Canelo is a protected fraud. JCC JR isn't gonna be the one to expose him but his time is coming.
That's strange, I'm sure he won the MW title at aCW of 155, and then moved back down to become the WBO Junior MW champion in his very last fight. How can a Junior MW champion be a MW when he has never fought at the full MW limit against a MW who weighed in at the full MW limit?
Chavez is going to fight until the very end and has a good chance at the upset. I'm so glad JR chose to work with Nacho Beristein and Memeo Heredia. Great move on his part. May the better man win!
Because he had a damn title that says 160 on it and made up his own weight class cause he's a clown. Then tried making GGG fight at his special weight which wasn't enforceable because GGG was a mandatory and mandatory fights have to be at the set weight.
Now we're gonna compare PAC to Canelo? Lol. I'm not defending PAC and his catch weights, but considering how tiny he was, so be it. Apples to oranges.
I wouldn't go as far to say he is a fraud, Canelo has had some good wins but it is clear to see he feels he needs advantages and that says a lot about his belief in himself and Oscars belief in him and also is not even debatable any longer that he ducked Golovkin, there is no argument to be made now for Canelo after he rolls in tonight at 164.5. I believe Canelo will get sliced and diced at 160 at some point, maybe even 168 because let's get it right this is a super middleweight fight. At this moment Canelo is a super middleweight, let's see how they wriggle out of fighting Golovkin now, can't wait for the usual suspects on here to try and spin some rubbish about "smart business moves" and the old and ever so boring "A Side, B Side".
