h2h I go Vitali, a guy who was never in any real trouble in a fight and has 90% ko's, took four years off with injury and dominated another four years to age 41. tko6 was never legit for me, rematch was ordered, offered and then left unfulfilled. If 41 y/o Wlad had beaten Joshua, as he nearly did, he wouldn't have walked away from the rematch. That's what real fighters do.

If you mean which of your top 5 list I think Bowe matches well against then all 5, Bowe was my pick and I would back him versus anyone at even money. (least confident vs Vitali probably, most confident vs Mike)

Slight derail but while you are around, do you have any strong feeling about Canelo/Chavez? Chavez is 5/1 last I seen.

But Again my pick arent 205 pounders...Holyfield DEFEATED Bowe at his Heaviest...therefor theres actually no proof he does well with SHW's ...his record just doesnt show that. i also have inside info on bowe bc my uncle trained him as a amatuer BRIEFLY in PAL N.Y golden gloves...and his demeanor of being lazy never changed as a pro...all these have ot be taken into account when doing H2H matches...you cant be lack luster like he was, even Futch quit on him. Each to his own but i really dont see bowe as a big threat to other BIG Hw's . Its easy to look good at 6'5 235 with enough skills against a natural cruiserweight..even Holyfield.

The other fight??/Not really,i assume Canelo should win.

I think Foreman gets my vote. Yeah, he lost to Ali but you talk about power and heart, I don't think there was anyone better than Big George.

I think the fact you say it is "easy" to look good vs Holyfield is in itself an endorsement of his talents, even with the size advantage. Futch, before he got fed up and walked, certainly thought highly of him.
If the question was - If you had to depend on a guy to show up and perform, who has shown the most consistent high levels of H2H ability? - Your arguments against him would be more fair and nobody would even consider Bowe.

(I actually think different people define and thus rate the concept of head to head differently)

Klitschko sisters eat uppercuts from hell en route to decision losses (just picture Bowe in place of Lewis/Joshua:biggrin:)
Lewis gets pulled into a war where his power advantage is offset by Bowe's laser guided body & head onslaught and either gasses first or his chin deserts him
Iron Mike could certainly get to Bowe and I can see the big man rising from the deck to out-tough and beat up Mike, who will be slipping less jabs once he tires and late on takes too much everything else for a TKO

Well, that will do for the fan-fiction from me for tonight, I'll save my 'Bowe KO1 Joshua' story for another time.:drooling:

It looks similar to a list ranking accomplishment. A couple top guys fall off a bit here (Marciano, Langford, Frazier, etc.) and a couple guys rise with this criteria (Wladimir, Tyson, Vitali, etc.)...

In no order; Ali, Louis, Johnson, Holmes, Foreman, Lennox, Wladimir, Tyson

    That'd be my top 8 HW H2H.

True that. Also vitali has a bad cut, not an excuse cause Lennox punch cause the cut, but the match was inconclusive and there were no rematch.

All this is still summed of of REALITY/ACTUAL Bowe matches with LIKE size guys whio can PUNCH and Bowes OWN abilities when faced with guys over 205 pounds or out of prime slick boxers who could jab.......sorry but im correct here! Bowe hasnr shown anything to suggest beats better guys over the 210 mark with the caliber of SHW we are comparing when considered his career...and HE HAD that opportunity to show...thats not guess work.

Vitali's performance against sub 200 pound Byrd proves he wouldn't have came close to beating Holyfield. He would sustain an embarrassing one-sided defeat.

Lets get down to brass tax shall we?.

Vitali landed a pitiful 26% of his punches compared to Byrd who landed at a connect rate of 44%

Power shots by Vitali - 35%... Power shots by Byrd - 50%

Lets look at Bowe's connect rate against one of the greatest HWs that ever lived

    Total punch connect % = 50%
    Power Punches = 48%

Now factor in that Holyfied was a mover and an elusive target that was difficult to hit and Byrd was laying against the ropes doing a poor mans rope-a-dope.

Vitali had so much trouble hitting him clean he popped his should out of joint. Bowe lifted Holyfied out of his boots on numerous occasions.
Prime Holyfield >>>> Chris Byrd . And its not even close. And to make matters worse Byrd took the Vitali fight on a WEEKS NOTICE.

Lets go one step further -- Faded and battle worn Evander performed more impressively against prime Lewis than prime Vitali against past prime Lewis.

He rocked Lewis with body shots and left hooks to the head which had him going on a couple of occasions.. He took more uppercuts from Lewis in one round than Vitali took in the entire fight yet still managed to come on late and win rounds arguably winning the fight.

Bowe destroyed Holyield , something Lewis never came close to doing. Lewis buckled Vitali with a jab and turned his legs to jelly with a single uppercut , stopping him from accumulation in just 6 rounds.

Byrd and Lewis LOSSES are not an argument for Vitali being #1 H2H of all time. Come up with an argument based of the guys he BEAT? Who are they?

TalKing about how Bowe beat Holyfied does not make an argument for Vitali being higher than Bowe H2H.

The modern super heavies aren't better, they're just bigger..... wlad and Lennox are not better fighters than Ali by no margin, they're just significantly bigger than him. I still rate Ali higher than all the other heavies based on aesthetics.

Vitali was clumsy, slow and he kept his left too low which would have made him vulnerable against the
likes of Lennox Lewis( and we saw that in the fight ), Anthony Joshua and his brother Wladimir.

Everybody can be knocked out, you don't know how many shots he could have taken from big punchers
because he was only one time in the ring with an elite super heavyweight and we all know how the fight ended.
