Anyone else concerned that Brook has lost the weight too fast?

sure Brook has a WW (IBF) strap, but anyone else surprised he went back down to WW after the GGG fight?

couple of reasons i thought he would move up to 154:

before the GGG fight, his trainer said that Brook was having his best camp, largely because he didn't have to boil down to the WW limit

Brook is a massive WW anyway--eg, his 30-day weigh-in (vs GGG) was 176 , and 8-day was 167.8, a typical profile for a veteran MW; and on fight night, he looked solid-- his frame carried the additional weight (MW vs WW) very well, seemed to me

Brook wanted to go straight back into a big fight and there isn't any options at 154.

Secondly Brook didn't like people claiming he would duck Spence. Wasn't gonna just give up his belt.

Brook and his team know him well, they know how to make weight.

He started at WW so has been doing it for years!

We'll see how he looks on the scales and workouts I guess

It's great seeing Kell so near the weight weeks out, a positive sign. No doubt with his cheekbone injury in his first camp pre Xmas he was probably doing a lot of cardio work as he wasn't able to box. He put on a bit of weight after fight but didn't look as much as he's often put on in the past. I think him v Spence is likely to be the fight of the year. Think Brook wins and it will be nothing to do with Spence being overrated but because how good Kell is.

Hope Kell wins but I'm picking Spence on points as of now.

Would love a Kell Brook win and I'll be cheering him on but my money will be going on Spence Jn stopping him in the 2nd half of the fight. Hope I'm wrong.

I can remember him being fat as **** between a couple of fights.

Possibly the loss and the PPV status has led to a more professional attitude after the GGG fight?

I think Brook's making a big mistake dropping down. I dont know if he beats Spence at 154, but at 147 he's essentially cutting away at the things that would've served his chances best, speed, stamina and resistance.

If Brook wins after dropping back down to 147 it would mean he was significantly better than Spence to begin with. I dont think that's the case, I think at best the difference would have been razor thin at 154 but at 147 it gives Spence the possibility of making it a 'coming out' performance at Brook's expense.

The one saving grace in all of this is that barring a one punch KO, at least we wont have to worry about Brook taking a damaging beating with a corner that'll whisk him out of there with a quickness should the time come.

It sucks that Kell struggles to make WW coz 154 isn't a great division and I favour Kell over everyone at 147. Late bloomer but still young

He should have gone down to 154, this will not be an easy fight for him.

I was worried he wouldn't do welterweight again, we'll just have to wait until fight night to see if it's gonna effect him.
