why would a 27 year old be in a rush to fight a 35 year old?

I doubt Canelo is afraid of GGG, he's been fighting grown men since he was a teenager. But then that's my opinion and you have yours.
Maybe we're both simply projecting here.

    You're missing the point, ElCylon.

He's not afraid in the sense you might be afraid if Mike Tyson walked in on you banging his GF.

Boxers aren't afraid in that sense.

But he is afraid that he might probably lose.

It's all just petty agenda. G just fought his biggest challenge in Jacobs. The guy has not challenged himself professionally really and look how these hypocrites will go to call Canelo a coward although his resume shits all over GGG. This is a ******ed argument. Both guys are cowards. The 26 year old happens to have challenged himself more and makes more money. The older coward justs wants a payday. I only use the word coward in context of how these haters are using it in describing both guys who put they health on the line in the ring.

Cause that's how it goes Canelo is considered one of the best so is GGG,clearly you never gonna get it,now if Canelo turns round and says I don't wanna fight GGG not nor never then that's ok but he's not doing that his he?

Ok..fair enough Shock. But have GGG and Ward been in the ring together for sparring?

    Let's assume both are true.
GGG doesn't want to fight the best fighter at 168. A weight he has never fought at or held a title.

Canelo doesn't want to fight the best fighter at MW. A weight he HAS fought at and held a title. Maybe to you there is no difference. To me it's all the difference in the world.

Not missing the point at all, the guy I quoted actually implied real fear, as in afraid of getting in the ring and being knocked out.

In regards to your point, I disagree as well. Canelo already lost to FLoyd but was able to rebound from that. A loss to GGG, a fighter he's supposed to lose to anyway, would not harm his career for too long.

Of course. See Wladimir. Multi-millionaire,could have easil retired years ago and fought two great prospects because he wants to challenge himself. He might come back a third time.

Guess it depends on the situation. Ward was 27 and Froch 34 when they fought which are similar ages to the ages you mentioned

Isn't Canelo's purse like $5m (in a fight with Mexico's second biggest boxing star on Cinco de Mayo weekend)? Which is basically what Golovkin earned against Brook?
