GGG would of had Chavez out in 3 had he been in that ring.

    Can't wait for September

If Canelo can't get GGG to respect his power -- and I'm not sure he can -- GGG will walk through him.

    We'll see.

It's gonna be a problem for Canelo if he can't get GGGs respect, which I believe Jacobs got.

Don't think Jacobs got Golovkin's respect, it has been said that in order to get a big money fight, Golovkin would have to look bad in a fight or two, still beat Jacobs, but just enough to make El Pollo come to the table..........well.........it worked............

But I thought Canelo was El Pollo, he was never going to fight GGG?
Mayweather never hurt Canelo but he still won, Matthysse never hurt Garcia but he still won, Ali never hurt Foreman but he still won.

When will you learn that power helps but it doesn't automatically win a fight.

If GGG goes back to his body savaging ways, rather than headhunting, he'll have an easy time against Canelo IMO. On camera Brook looks like he hits harder than Canelo tbh, and Golovkin didn't give two thoughts to his power. He just needs to push him into the ropes and drop those hands into the ribs.

Biggest problem GGG has had was against Jacobs, who used movement, range and power. Canelo has headmovement and speed, but he can't fight on the outside like Jacobs. He's got to eat leather to get shots in, unlike Jacobs. I just can't see him getting either chinned or dropped at some point, fighting the way he does.

    I totally agree.

And I think that Jacobs might be a harder fight for GGG than Canelo will be.

If GGG is really slipping, and he might be, it could be competitive. Otherwise, I don't know how long Canelo will last. We should find out a lot about Canelo's chin, that's for sure.

Good point on the body punching.

Jacobs done his job which was the plan all along. He made GGG beatable, and now Canelo wants some.

Cant wait. GGG will shatter that ginger busicuit jaw.

I think Canelo hits hard enough to keep GGG honest but not enough to hurt him badly or be able to stop him. I think this proves canelos undoing in the end and GGG eventually kos him late. GGG will be focused and motivated like we`ve never seen. I dont think canelo will be an easy out though. Hes going to put in a good fight while it lasts.

I agree, unless he just can't deal with GGG's power. But he should be able to handle it at least some. He knows what it's like from their sparring together.

Canelo is a game fighter. But I don't think GGG is a good match-up for him, although GGG may be on the downside.

One thing is for sure, Oscar's judges have already filled out their cards, so Golovkin can knock El Pollo down in every round and still lose a decision to the criminal judges...........I suspect Golovkin will fight hard in this fight, this is the fight he has wanted for a long time. Did they sign a contract? If not, El Pollo might still back out..............

Canelo has very good defense and should be able to absorb some punishment at this weight but i think he`ll get worn down eventually. I cant imagine canelo going toe to toe for 12 rounds against GGG. GGG has a granite chin and if canelo couldnt really hurt chavez i cant imagine he`ll be able to hurt GGG nevermind ko him. If canelo had more pop he`d stand a better chance. Skillwise hes just not superior to GGG whos a highly skilled fighter himself especially cutting off the ring which he will look to do against canelo.

Alvarez doesnt have the power to bother GGG but he has the speed to. He just has to weather the storm.

Agree with all of this 100%.

If you're Team Canelo, you have to hope that GGG is fading and his stamina and speed will be affected some.
