If he did it's the only thing he threw tonight. I think it's more a case of him being through than him throwing the fight. Marcos Reyes clearly ruined Jr. He finished what Fonfara started. And both Fonfara and Reyes were wearing Reyes gloves when they fought him too and they both caught him with a lot of big shots. I knew he was through after watching him against Reyes.

I were waiting for Chavez to start, then i was waiting some more, then i waited a little more and then it ended. He brought nothing, he tried nothing. It was awful.

How can someone throw a fight if you think they couldn't have won it? Throwing a fight means a boxer who could have won chose not to. But you don't think he could have won, you said so. Accuse him of not trying is fine - although that could only ever be speculation because only he would know that - but to say he threw a fight you admit he had no chance on winning, is contradictory.

Love conspiracy theorists, they always brighten up my day with contrails of convolution. Maybe Canelo simply beat him? Just a thought..

Did people actually expect any other outcome? It amazes me how stupidly gullible boxing fandom really is. You guys would probably buy that snake oil by the gallons.

Why would Chavez Jr wittingly be the fall guy for Canelo? Makes no sense.

He didnt throw that fight he was up against a far superior operator who also was no doubt much more comfortable with the weight limit stipulated. To Chavez that was a weight limit he hasnt even tried to get near for a number of years and has been known to struggle hitting even higher limits than that and has a history of being a bad trainer where as Canelo was no doubt fighting at the same weight he has done for the last 3 or 4 fights.

Oscar doesnt fukk around. He knows the score and he knows how to paint a nice golden sheen on a turd of a fight. What we got is really what we should of expected.

You've got to be thick as sh1t if you think someone didn't throw punches they threw fight. Canelo is probably best counter puncher in the game ?

This is what I was saying about the head to head yesterday.

Chavez looked resigned before he even started.

It didn't take a genius to figure out this fight was a joke all along. How it became so hyped up is beyond me.

All you had to do was look at his last fight with Birtich at the full smw limit to see he was slow as molases , pulled all his punches and hadn't the power to pop a grape.

There was nothing fixed about it. Canelo just drained the life out of a guy whose biggest weakness is making weight.
Just like he did with Kirkland and Angulo.

I think he was in good shape but he was gunshy since every time he tried something Canelo came back with 10 more punches then him. Boxing didn't take a L tonight, Chavez did.

The fight was PPV and Canelo is the biggest attraction in the US. Id say boxing definitely took an L. Mismatchs like that aren't good for the sport.

Nobody got value for money last night

That was the point. I think this performance was a big F you for all the flak he's gotten being in his dad's shadow his whole life and having the weight of the name on him. Like a spoiled teen might do.
