    I didn't see him shake his head, but I did notice that his ring walk was incredibly fast. Like he was in the ring before you knew it. It may have been the fastest ring walk in history.

    If Canelo / Golovkin is on for real in September then this was all worth it.

    Maybe I was wrong about Fishnets and Fluffler.

    I sure hope so!

    Well, I thought JCC Jr would at least try to brawl with Canelo and give us some excitement.

    I picked Canelo by wide UD in the prediction contest, so I wasn't underestimating Canelo.

    He did try to brawl, but he got his face re-arranged every time he tried to do that. When you're walking into a gauntlet of punches every time you try to get inside, it's sort of hard to just keep trying to brawl and walking into big punches. If he tried to brawl he very well could have gotten knocked out.

    I'd rather have seen him KO'ed than fight in survival mode for 12. Same with Cojanu against Parker, although Cojanu gave it a go in the last two or three rounds.

    Said this fight was a joke when it was announced and that's exactly what it was.

    It obvious now his whole camp consisted of him just losing weight. He had no business in that ring. Could barely throw punches and when he did they were limp armed slaps.

    Complete farce. Turned it off after 6 rounds. I hope Canelo challenges GGG next and finally takes his pasting like a man.

    Canelo is all wrong for GGG. Golovkin is gonna get countered all night long. Depends whether he can tag that ginger chin in return and even it all up. Looking forward to it!

    I actually fell asleep during the main event; as it quickly became apparent that Canelo only needed to be at second gear to defeat a fighter who seemed permanently stuck in neutral. The monochrome nature of such fight always carries the risk of losing my attention.

    But, anyway, here's my RBR for the fight.

    Canelo lands a couple of nice right hands, and a left down stairs. Jr. fires back without much intent or success. 10-9 Alvarez.

    He already let it happen to Crolla, in his second fight with Linares.

    That said, at least Crolla threw punches and never stopped trying.
