Did you enjoy Canelo vs Chavez Jr?

Give me some that cost similar and were as hyped that were worse?

I'm waiting.

 

The truth is, there probably aren't any. Klitschko vs Haye -- a damp squib after all of Haye's antics in building up and selling the fight -- was bad, but even that wasn't anywhere near as woeful as Canelo vs Chavez Jr.

 

For a fight that I was hyped for.. I actually fell asleep after round 5. Boring sh*t fight.

 

I enjoyed Canelo's boxing but it's was nullified by Chavez being so passive, having said that I do believe if Chavez had brought the fight there was a very good chance that he'd of been stopped.

Canelo looked very good, strong, powerful and fast.

Lemieux was.....well Lemieux.

Matthysse, well what can I say it's great to have him back.

 

He was drained,no question to get like that they had to be using drugs but look at him on the scales someone on here even said he had no arse,he had no strength in him to get in close and try and hurt Canelo.

Fixed or no it was certainly fake and what I mean by that is trying to convince the public that Chavez who gave up years ago had somehow got a chance,Oscar not daft.

Mayweather vs Maidana 2 was probably worse in terms of quality, the entire card was just boring. I liked the May fight but that's it. At least there were two knockouts here, there was none of that on the other card.

 

No, and I'm a huge Canelo fan. He did what he needed to and peppered a next o useless Chavez, but it was painful to watch.

The main event of that was light-years ahead of last night. Last nights fight was a joke as have the last 3 Canelo fights.

 

TMZ has some great pictures of Oscar at the post fight party. Looks wasted out of his mind, which is really great considering he is coming off another DUI. Dude is a scumbag who just sold the fans a bill of goods with a guy who had no business being in a PPV "superfight". I just hate putting any money in this guys pocket (Didn't buy last night's farce). If I'm Canelo, I'm not putting a lot of trust in this guy with my money

 

it was cringe worthy, chavez was frozen for 12 rounds. canelo even sat on the ropes begging chavez to at least try and make the fight look legit. it was sad, i actually felt bad for jr.

 

First of all, for those saying last night's main event was rigged, it may have looked that way due to how Chavez fought, but the promoters of the fight can't control how fighters are going to perform on the night. For those blaming the main event on DLH, it's not like he orchastrated Chavez giving us such a disappointing performance. That's on Chavez and his team. Shouldn't you be mad at Chavez Sr, Nacho Beristain or Jr himself? As a promoter, you don't want to put on a fight that leaves fans disappointed.

I mean Oscar is giving us the fight that we want to see with Triple G. How about instead of criticizing DLH for Chavez's performance, which was out of his control, how about praising DLH for making the Triple G fight? If we had to put up with a dud of a main event, that was still quite entertaining I might add due to Canelo's incredible performance teeing off on Chavez, to get the Triple G fight so be it. Like Lampley said, alls well that ends well. Canelo has given us very entertaining fights last year vs Khan and Smith, scintillating memorable knockouts, so if we have to put up with one dud of a fight to get the fight we want so be it. I ordered the PPV last night, and I don't regret it. I enjoyed the undercard, and though I was disappointed with Chavez, it was still very entertaining to see Canelo over 12 rounds do that to Chavez. I mean look at it this way, what if Chavez really came to fight and it was a war and Canelo hurt his hand or something like he did vs Liam Smith. The good part about it was that Canelo put on a fabulous display of boxing and came out of the fight unscathed. Had Chavez came to fight, and gave us a reason for there to be a rematch, if it was really a war, it could have delayed the Triple G fight, and we could be sitting here looking at Canelo Chavez 2 instead of the fight we all want in September.
