I was shocked by the size difference. Golovkin is much taller and looks far stronger. Last night Canelo was probably 185 or so so they were both probably the same weight yesterday. I doubt GGG weighs more then that in between fights.

NOt sure where you get that from but some of the commentators were speculating, based on what they had heard, that Canelo weighed in at early to mid 170's whereas Jr came in at around 185.

But yes, GGG definitely looks the bigger of the two.

Golovkin's basically a dehydrated heavyweight. Complete mismatch

hes like 2 inches taller thats it, canelo has bigger shoulders and a thicker neck. Height does not mean size. Mike tyson is the same height as most welter weights.

Golovkin has wider shoulders and is more thicker canelo is shorter which makes him look thicker

ggg is definitely taller and naturally physically bigger but he is not in fighting shape and was wearing a suit which made the size difference look even bigger. if anything canelo looked tiny against jr.

Golovkin might be statistically bigger, but it's negligible. They're well within each other's weight class.

Canelo has really filled out and looks the best part of 180 these days.

Golovkin's natural muscles, tendons, ligaments and underlying physical nature is acclimatised to the MW division.

Canelo has come up from WW to MW over a decade. Yes he has put on mass, gained man strength and filled out (natural or unnatural, you decide) but he is still the naturally smaller guy.

That was so annoying listening to Kush and Isal squealing for Canelo at ringside last night that by the time GGG came in the ring all my sensed were compromised.
