Could be true but I think Chavez jr is in damage limitation.

Canelo bullied him last night totally different levels.

Canelo could say how every single person he sparred was better than Chavez.

Bunch of people still haven't figured out that power isn't the end all. Shhh!

Better performance and it meant a lot more as well... Chavez was actually relevant at MW then, and actually came to fight. Not sure how Canelo would have done against that Chavez who constantly came forward and actually threw punches. Martinez was able to keep him off for most of the night with his excellent movement and overall ring IQ. Wasn't until Martinez got greedy and started to hunt for the KO in the final round that he found himself in trouble.

exactly he never had a long lay off as well and was coming off good wins

Sergio was terrific that night he not only beat him to the punch he punished Chavez for 12 rounds in every round,Chavez had no reply for Sergio's speed and movement I was surprised they never pulled him out sooner(good thing they did not) but he got lucky with that massive right hand that changed the course of the fight it was right on the button many fighters would of succumb and got stopped but Sergio did not hold he fought back and finished of the fight landing shots on chavez that was a champion performance.

Not the least bit surprised. Looking forward to September and all the Canelo fanboys reaction to him getting stopped for the first time :)
