Valuev by saying that, basically puts the modern giant sized better than smaller more skilled fighters arguments on there ass. He did well but he struggled against more skilled smaller heavy s. Which is what would happen if bigger but less talented heavy s stepped back in time. And size isn't everything. If valuev had been say.. Six foot, he d have probably had a further ten losses. He was successful because of his size simple as.
Yes, for the millionth time, almost everyone who was actually ringside gave it to Valuev. That was judge-by-internet at its worst.
On the other hand, Chagaev beat him clean. Chagaev was really good in that fight, I quite like watching that one.
The 1930's was a weak time for heavyweight boxing. Even Ring Magazine admits this and put the decades last for talent. Valuev had an okay Jab, tremendous size ( which would help him even more in the 1930's. ) solid power, and a very good chin. He would not likely beat Louis, but he's in the money vs the rest. My picks on who he would beat are below from the heavyweight action's ranking of the decade. Red = loss, likely a bad one. Orange = likely loss, but a chance to upset. Yellow = close to 50/50 Green = likely win This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
I have to be honest, I couldn't finish it But I remember the internet had it for Holyfield big the day after, everyone who scored it on tv/stream ha it or Holyfield, it seemed...so I was shocked when the ringside scorecards came in. They were almost exclusively or Valuev. The big difference seems to be how the jab was judged. Valuev's jab didn't come across well on tv but at ringside it was the big punch.
LOL what a load of b''llsh t from you! I have watched Holy-Valuev 2 times, and both times I've scored at least 9-3 to grandpa Holyfiled. Al Berstein scored it 9-2-1, Roy Jones 9-3 for Holy. I know Valuev is your lover and he'd beat Lewis, Ali, Tyson in dream fights, but let's be real. Not hurt by Haye at all? LOL you've never watched round 12 I guess? Of course you'll claim Valuev beat Chagaev 120-108 but was robbed.
