    Main events don't seem happy.
    Is this mind games by Ward or just lack of respect.

    It's not mind games, Ward is just a pos.
    Several years ago HBO invited all their fighters to do media day and promos.
    Ward was the only one who didn't show up.

    Lol!! Didn't a certain idiot on here make a thread about Ward having some upper hand mentally and then bump it three weeks later with a video of the press conference saying "Kovalev is acting nicer! Maybe reality be hitting him now doe!"

    :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

    Yeah the reality of facing a guy again who you clearly out boxed the first time is setting in :wanker:wanker

    THAT dork:pipi

    I expect Wards fanboys to express their displeasure with this, after all they were up in arms last time Kovalev missed a press conference.

    This thread was created because its a big fight. Don't know who you are
    throwing stones at but i stuck up for Kovalev before because somebody said
    in a post he was a wife basher. Just like a healthy debate if that's possible.

    If you watched the HBO broadcast last night of canelo vs jcc jr, you wouldn't be surprised by this.

    Lampley didn't accept him as number 1 p4p and this really annoyed Ward. Its really getting under his skin that everyone is mocking him. I suspect he is mad at HBO and thats why he skipped the face off. Hopefully he loses via brutal KO.

    Well in fairless Ward just simply pointed out that going into the fight it was billed as a battle for P4P supremacy. So Ward has a point there. Really the winner of Ward Kovalev 2 will be competing with the winner of Canelo Triple G for P4P #1. But it's how impressive the winner of those fights are. Ward was impressive, but a lot of people thought Kovalev won, so that's what Lampley was getting at. The same thing could happen in Canelo vs Triple G. Whoever wins if it's close the fan of the loser will scream robbery. For any of these guys to become P4P #1, they need to win the upcoming fight convincingly, preferably by stoppage, and impressively. Otherwise there's not going to be a clear #1 P4P. You become P4P #1 by winning impressively in a fight vs the best in your weight class division. That's what Ward Kovalev and Canelo Triple G is.

    Indeed, it's about the performance.

    Ward's performance was a p4p level performance, but not really p4p #1 level. But then again there is no dominant p4p #1 e.g. Floyd to compete with.

    Apart from Ward, Kovalev, Canelo and GGG, the other fighter I think might be p4p #1 soon is Lomachenko, he needs to fight Garcia in what would be another true p4p matchup. Longer-term even someone like Crawford (already a p4p fighter), Thurman, or Spence could be the p4p king someday, who knows.
