I really don't know where to start...this is kind of surreal. What is it that you hope to accomplish with the footage you've been posting? Do you think that your boxing skills are impressive? I honestly don't understand. No offense but you work out on the bag exactly like someone who's practiced throwing punches but never received any formal training. Do you really think I can't walk/shuffle around a heavy bag like you and throw a bunch of eye-level combinations and slow power punch leads?

You want to grow organically? You want to "earn" attention from trainers? Good luck with that--I wish you all the best. Maybe in another year or two, you'll learn some of the things that the rest of us learn in the first month or two of working with a pro trainer (like the hook and uppercut stuff that Eddie, Contro and I discussed earlier). You sound delusional.

Fyi, I, like most people at my gym, paid a flat monthly rate that gave me access to the gym every day (where I got occasional but sporadic feedback from trainers) and weekly or biweekly one-on-one sessions. I did these sessions because I wanted to learn more about the sport that I love, not because I had any ambitions of launching an amateur career. The one-on-one sessions were extremely valuable; I learned so much about form and technique, and made very good progress in a relatively short period of time.

For what it's worth, I'm a few years out of practice now and significantly enough older than you to be past my athletic prime, but if I found a new gym and posted video of me working a heavy bag, there is zero chance that anyone here would think you were more advanced or skillful than me. And I say this as someone who doesn't consider himself to be particularly skilled or talented...

    I don't consider myself good.
But not nearly as bad as you and Contro.

    Not really.
My trainer has pretty good hopes for me to say the least.
And has pretty great things to say about my punching.

    You are clueless.
And think your boxing 101 lesson is all there is to it.
When countless of examples proved otherwise.
And that the uppercut is not as one dimensional as shown in a pure beginners instructional video.

    Sure, slugger, dream on.
I wonder what kind of hell you would have rained down on me if I came up with excuses.
You're a loser with enough courage to challenge others.
But not enough courage to accept the challenge himself.

You were the one talking about uploading footage to back up my credibility on technique.
Now it's "omg why's it so important??"

My gym had quite a few of those bags that you were hitting so I know what it feels like to hit those. You make it look easier than it is lol.

I personally hated hitting those ****ers though. Felt like I wasn't hitting something solid. Prefer regular heavy bags like the one you use in the other vids better.

Haha for sure man. Not a chance on gods green Earth that someone like him punches better. I can tell by how he writes, just like I was able to tell that he paid for private lessons to do pad work.

Yeah I didn't like them either until my coach told me to use them more, now I'm used to them. I still prefer the ones you're mentioning.

You're living in a fantasy world. I worked the bag like you do in the video before I ever set foot in a pro gym. Not sure what you've been doing all these months in your gym but since you don't want to hire a trainer, you should at least check out some youtube videos on how to work a heavybag. Anyway, good luck with your amateur career. I hope your trainer isn't just leading you on for cynical reasons.

Courage doesn't have a damn thing to do with me wanting to protect my privacy but that's fair--I opened myself up to that. If more people weigh in and tell me that I need to produce some footage to keep my credibility, I'll seriously going the ski mask route, as goofy as that would be.

    You don't hope that.
You only want to plant doubt into my head using subterfuge, because you are a weakling, with little virtue or quality as a person.

Damn right you opened yourself up to this.
You're a bully. And had I not posted something, you would've held it against me forever.
So stop being a lazy manipulative bum, acting like we are dragging you to the gym to wear a stupid ski mask against your wishes. Thats you, not us.
    Put up, or stfu.

One of those people was Emmanuel Steward.

    Q. What's the best antidote for a short croucher?
    A. The uppercut.

    Where did anyone say,imply,suggest,intimate this?
It's just silly when you do this over emphasizing /exaggeration,and you do it all the time.

Hate to say it, but this may be a rare scenario in which he is wrong.
I truly believe that if he had the accessibility and quality of footage we have, that he would think more highly of him. I could be wrong, but that's my honest opinion.

It's exactly the kind of imagery used by radical size proponents.

Lowry was a 5'10" Light heavyweight with a 70-68-10 record. That puts him in his proper perspective

How do you account for his opinion being so diametrically opposed to your own?
You think he was ignorant of Marciano and that's why he made that statement?
Who should we believe Steward, or you?

You can believe whatever you want.
I just don't think he was working with the same quality of footage and accessibility as us.
That's how I account for it.

How do you account for Ali saying that Marciano was better than Frazier, and would have been his toughest fight that he wasn't very sure he could win?

I rate Marciano and Frazier pretty much even, Frazier was quicker, Marciano had better two handed power ,which gives him a very slight edge H2H.imo.
Ali was invariably kind to other champs, I think he would have crucified Marciano and tko'd him on cuts.
Steward had no axe to grind he gave his objective opinion.
