I am happy for the guy many fighters ducked him but now he has his hands on the golden boy. I always said Golovkin just needed that one fight to take him to new heights and its the Canelo fight. The interest in this fight is unreal nothing can beat knocking out canelo alvarez in vegas
GGG got his mega fight and as a supporting fan of his (been to 3 of his fights and bought both PPVS) I'm glad he's getting the huge stage opportunity. Props to Canelo for taking on GGG who is a dangerous opponent and by far the most dangerous of Canelos career. Make no mistake. GGG trashed Brook and gave Jacobs a beating to the point he collapsed in exhaustion. In a 15 round fight Jacobs would have been stopped by Gennady. Win or lose, GGG gets his 15 million plus upside. If he wins, he can make a few defenses and retire. If he loses, he can still fight a few more and call it. At his age he has nothing else to prove. No more big names in or around his division. Sure maybe a Eubank Jr fight in UK. Maybe a Jacobs rematch for 5 million. But I see GGG as a business man who don't want to get his brains smashed for lower paydays.
The only reason team Canelo took this fight is because they feel GGG is past it and that's a mistake in my opinion they didn't want to fight him 2 years ago. again I repeat nothing would beat knocking out canelo in vegas on the biggest platform
Hmm, Golovkin gave Jacobs a beating? Not seeing that. And was there a story published somewhere that I missed that talked about Jacobs collapsing from exhaustion?
2 years ago Canelo fought James Kirkalnd and Golovkin was fighting the ever so dangerous power hitter Willy Munson.
Is this boxing_master again? I'm always suspicious when I see "could of" or "would of" instead of the correct "could have" or "would have".
