would you guys consider him automatically an ATG if he wins, or would he still have to do more the man is at the tail end of his career now, he's 35 I only see him having 6 or 7 more fights left after Canelo, but what do you guys think
Him beating a game canelo who is not weight drained and who is at his peak physical powers would propel him to anther level new superstardom along with guaranteeing his place in atg greatness Golovkin won everything in boxing but a super fight alluded him he finally has it and what a super fight
No. Canelo would be instantly classed as a bum and ward fight would be required to appease the anti-GGG crowd. ..... In reality he's already an ATG on the bottom end of the scale. Canelo would just be a nice cherry on top and would proper GGG further up the ladder of atgness.
Of course, plus there is not one fight on his resume that is highly controversial unlike some other ATG
He's already an all time great, but when he KO's Canelo some of the naysayers will be very quiet, while others giving GGG his just props.
GGG becomes an ATG when he beats Canelo, BJS, Eubank Jr. and last but not least a rematch against Jacobs at 168. Hope these fights are going to happen before 2018 ends.
Hard to say, have to think about it. Gut reaction would be yes, but on the lower end of the scale. Question is, what's the threshold for an ATG?
So if Canelo beats Golovkin, does Canelo automatically become an ATG, considering how he will be the UNDERDOG, and most of you claim Golovkin is better, even better by significant margins?
I'm pretty sure Canelo will end up as an ATG regardless of the result, as long as his career doesn't go to pot after the fight. Probably towards the lower end if he loses.
Beat Canelo. Unify MW (BJ Saunders fight). Break Hopkins record for defenses. He does all three he can't be denied his place in history.
