It is. Canelo was also part of the biggest PPV fight when he was 21 when he and Floyd sold 2.1 million PPVs, only been topped by May-Pac.
Sounds about right. Golovkin gets $15M, maybe a little more, and Canelo gets the bulk which they predict to run to $50M. So a split somewhere around 75-25. I do have to note that some people who aren't fans of GGG did claim he would get less than $15 million after the Jacobs fight while I said it would be about $15 million - looks like I was right there. Likewise those saying GGG would insist 40% or more were always off their rockers, that was never going to happen. I guess it shows how easy it is to be biased when you have strong feelings about a fighter.
Seems a little high to me. Mayweather was guaranteed 42 million and Alvarez made 5 million when they fought. I don't think this fight will do as well as that one.
