I can see hes got talent and great potential,its the fact people think hes gonna destroy brook that gets me.
I dont see much that brook does bad and a hell of a lot he does good.
Personally i think it would have been better for both to let it build up to a great fight at 154 were they both belong or will do.
Its a tough fight with little reward for brook because no one else wants it
And in spences case hes going the hardest route and will get little recognition if he does win

 

I like Spence but this was said about Broner, Porter, Berto and many other in the past. People talk about the UK over hyping their up and coming fighters but the US is just as bad.

 

He was an Olympic Boxer and one of his sparring partners for this fight was Jr Middleweight Champion Jermell Charlo. Most top pro fighters in the US know who he is and what he can do, and has their respect. I think at the very least he would do as well against Brook as Carson Jones did in their first fight. I am not worried about the skill set or his chin. I am worried that Spence will get treated unfairly by the Ref and the judges which England is notorious for doing to protect their own fighters. I just hope Brook stays in the middle of the ring and doesn't run like a *****.

 

If Brook was so great he wouldn't have defended his title against JoJo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier after he won the title. Gavin lost to Bundu who got knocked out by Spence. He has talent but getting your eye socket smashed in by GGG and having your corner throw in the towel doesn't exactly make for a fighter that should be feared by Spence.

 

This. Especially how Brook comes back from the eye injury and how Spence deals with the class rise and hostile crowd.

 

You do know Brook doesn't choose his mandatory defences? Don't blame Brook for the IBF saying he must fight JoJo Dan and Bizier.

 

Simple question. Did Brook run vs GGG?

Just as Brook shouldn't be fearful of a guy who's claim to fame is beating Algeri and Bundu.
