Its as simple as canelo is too slow on his feet. so he gets brutalised.

Lemiuex is the legit middleweight here and has easily knocked out other middleweights. Canelo has not showed us what he can do at MW so I just don't feel confident in picking him against these bigger fighters .

Golovkin still, and easily, Jacobs would be a nightmare for Canelo and beat him as well, whereas Chavez would be horrifically retired by GGG.

Interesting. The odds have narrowed substantially GGG is just -165 now. I agree with the oddsmakers that it's a much closer fight

Canelo wins a points decision or via robbery. That's the safest money imo. G has looked less and less than advertised each time he fought guys who are of higher class. The judges will score close rounds to Canelo. G needs a KO to win.

Fights like these where two guys fight their best opponent are often close.

This fight is 50/50 due to Canelo having the venue, judges and everything else in his favor.

these are exactly my thoughts. Unless Canelo struggles with the GGG jab (GG will have height, reach, power advantage). If Canelo can overcome the jab then he fight shifts to his terms and we may even see GGG pushed back. Man such a great match up!

Exactly. I seen you reference the Willie Monroe fight recently and the fact G just goes into high guard when you throw punches in bunches which Canelo is more than capable of doing. Willie Monroe fought G in the pocket. This took away G's jab. G tired himself out and WMJ was able to T off on him a bit and win a couple rounds.

G is most effective when he has a guy pinned against the ropes. You're best chance is fighting him on the inside or to back him up. His stamina is no better than Canelos in my opinion.

Two punches I see being effective against G is the uppercut and body shots.

If you put both skills in a balance sure may tilt in GGG favor but there is something with all agree age, speed and peak of his prime favor Canelo so every month counts and father times is undefeated.

I posted this in Jan.... since then Golovkin looked completely vulnerable (imo) to Jacobs. I now see this fight very close to 50/50.... these were one of the fights Ive been waiting for to put big money on Golovkin, because I knew that for a G fight the odds would be relatively close... but after seeing him against Jacobs and seeing just how sharp Canelo has been looking the last few fights, I really am not sure now that I will be putting any money on G. I will still be picking him to win.... probably by UD or SD... but not confident enough anymore to place my money on it.

too bad the one guy who could prove you right won't take the fight.

what Mayweather does is tweet from time time time about he easily he could beat GGG

GGG calls him out, offers to go down to 154, Mayweather goes silent
