    Must pose this question.
    His last 4 opponents:
    Cotto, Khan, Smith, Chavez Jr

Cotto was a great experience but much smaller than GGG

Khan was a one punch KO

    Smith too green

Chavez Jr didn't show up. Drained?

With so many legit 160 pounders I'm surprised Canelo taking the GGG fight without fighting a top 5-10 160 pounder. Perhaps the thinking was that Jr would provide that experience but the CW was always the question.

I think Canelo could have done with fighting a real middleweight such as Lemeiux, I don't think anything in his career has prepared him for the stylistic match up that Golovkin brings.

Lemiuex would have been a great test. Perhaps too risky

What I can say is that they sparred and Canelo has some idea of what's coming.

They have both come a way since those days though.

El Pollo is not ready for Golovkin, that's why El Pollo has a rematch clause in the contract and Golovkin is not allowed the same................the plan is cheating, criminal judges and referee.............Golovkin will knock El Pollo out, but Lawrence Cole will help El Pollo as usual, Cole is the worst referee in boxing history..................

Why are you still talking about the Chavez fight? That's old news, we're on to bigger and better things in September.

I think it goes both ways. GGG will be the hardest puncher he's ever faced, and Canelo will be the best skilled fighter he's ever fought.

Yeah, anyone who likes Golovkin is a troll, only El Pollo is allowed a rematch clause, Oscar's judges and referee, a TexASS crowd etc...........why is Golovkin not allowed a rematch clause?
