    Fighters that were beaten before the first bell. Michael spinks comes to mind straight away facing tyson. As did Bruno before his second time in with Mike. Coetzee before Bruno hardly looked full of confidence. Patterson came equipped with a disguise it's said before Liston. Sometimes fear can be used as a motivator, other times it can be all consuming. Any instances come to mind?

    Lol I was just thinking same thing myself. As soon as Fergy mentions tyson he's there! I used to find it annoying mcvey but now rather amusing.

    I wouldn't necessarily agree with this.Certainly his complacency was a big factor in his defeat ,but was it anymore so than the fact that Schmeling had spotted a flaw in his armour? A combination of the two perhaps?
