Both combatants win or lose should be praised for taking on their toughest challenge...!!! If Canelo wins, I will congratulate him, as same with GGG...!!!

As long as the fight is fair, the judging is fair and the refereeing is fair, then I see no reason why the victor should not be showered with accolades...!!!

Not a hard core fan of either but you can say I favor Canelo.
I will give full credit to the winner, no matter the outcome.

Why is it the tone of the fans for these two fighters has changed dramatically in recent months? Canelo fans seem thrilled and confident. Golovkin fans seem, I dunno, nervous and not very excited. I guess part of that is most of their claims were wrong on this fight happening, but still. I'm surprised Golovkin is the betting favorite, honestly.

My opinion on that is that the Golovkin fanatics never thought the fight would happen, and they actually started believing the ridiculous nonsense they were posting about Canelo being a coward, Canelo weighing 180+, Canelo being a media creation etc...

Now that reality has set in and these Golovkin fanatics are scrambling and are all over the place. You have some saying GGG will KO Canelo before the 6th, other are saying Golovkin will be robbed, you got others saying Golovkin is slipping, you have some saying Golovkin will make easy work of Canelo, I've seen some say that Canelo is too small, others that Canelo is too big... These guys are losing it fast.

As for the Canelo fans, I don't see much difference. 15 million + PPV upsell was always the offer since it was announced by Oscar months ago, the fight was always going to be at 160 with Oscar confirming that last year, and the fight was always going to be on Sept. 2017.

This is the best fight that can be made aside the Kov-Ward rematch and the real fans are stoked about it.

Has it occured to you that people might have differing opinions despite being fans of the same fighter?

And btw, why do you keep switching accounts Isal? It's weird.

I'm a GGG fan, very pleased the fight is happening.

I think it's important not to confuse the true boxing fans who like GGG with a couple of trolls and their army of alts on here lol.

I think Golovkin will honestly prove to be too much for Canelo, but if I'm wrong (and I'm wrong quite often), I will be more than happy to admit as much. Kind of used to it by now.

Fans of boxing are glad this fight has happened.

Fans of the boxers are still trying to create issues despite the fight being signed.

Like all dramatic fanbases, tough to do and surprising that respectable posters take certain tones (I'm not saying I'm a respectable poster, but I know I am guilty of this at certain times as well; it becomes a "oh I read a dramatic statement, I'll make one equally dramatic in the opposite sense). I mean, I totally get it. But I'll call a delusional and outright annoying fanbase when I see one and Golovkin's is nothing short of just that.

As long as the right man wins. If my scenario plays out and Canelo wins by robbery, no respect will be given. Same goes the other way although it is highly improbable GGG will be given the benefit of corrupt officiating.
