Boxing basics, a fast and explosive counterpuncher with a good right hand will always have an advantage against a southpaw, it is the perfect style to beat them and Anthony Joshuas counter right hand over the jab is second to none.
We were talking about a hypothetical fight with Corrie Sanders. Boxing basics? How did 27 year old Wlad fare?
The point is obvious: On paper/theoretically, it's an easy prediction to make. Yet there's countless examples that prove things don't always go to plan. On paper, many people thought it was going to be an easy fight for Wlad. AJ is still learning. It's too soon to say he'd have have dealt with Byrd and Sanders etc with ease.
I don't think that it is too soon to say that an olympic gold medalist and unified heavyweight champion with far superior skills and athletic abilities would have beaten Corrie Sanders and Chris Byrd.
I've no issue with the above. Again: My only gripe, was that you initially said that you don't think that either Byrd or Sanders would have caused him any trouble whatsoever, with your reasoning based upon his victory over Charles Martin. There's really no point in taking this any further. I'm off to bed. I'll catch you later.
Well thats all you CAN wish for.....i know my boxing too much even with an L casuals will point fingers...the funny thing is their fav fighter will have more than ONE L wont they?
Again Dago you seem to have trouble with REAL video footage...ive followed Wlad since 1998 maybe 97...i can tell you he did...what fight do you think he showed better skills and against a better opponent where one NEEDS to be better ?REMEMBER i know ALL his fights.......... Are you saying Jonathan Banks and Vitali among others are lying when they say the same? Come'om now even you cant tongue twist this one...
Wlad's legs didn't look good at all. Even though he was knocked down 3 times(Just like against Joshua) in the first Sam Peter fight, he dominated the rest of the fight. Making Peter look like an amateur. I can't recall ever seeing Wlad have that much trouble landing the left hook like he did against Joshua.
If he'd landed the one he threw on Joshua as he went down it would have been fight over. Joshua was so lucky there.
