For respectfully calling out a mod on his bias moderating. I made a thread asking why perfectly good and respectful thread that was meant to trash a specific fighter but ended getting a lot of praise instead was deleted, and apparently its a bigger offense here to question a mod onhis bias actions than to spam the boards insulting fighters and hindering the quality of the site with childish names like Cucknelo, McNelo, El Pollo, SOB etc...

De La Hoya did build and manage him into a true superstar. The unquestioned PPV King right now... He's starting to get the sort of mass hatred on the level of a Floyd Mayweather, so you know something is going very right.

Okay. So you're fair and reasonable and everyone who disagrees with you is biased. Got it.

I personally don't see why Canelo gets half the hate he gets, I mean yeah he didn't immediately move up to a division he's never competed in big deal.

For all the flack he catches in the past few years Alvarez has delivered every type of fight imaginable. He's had legacy fights vs top tier opponents, big money events that draw in fans to boxing, and exciting fire fights that provide quality entertainment can't name any other fighter right now that's doing the same. People just need someone to be the bad guy which is cool with me, even still gotta respect what he's been doing

Oscar has done an excellent job promoting Canelo.

Yea he got heat for 2016 but Canelo still made 13 million vs Khan, at least 7 million vs Smith and 30 million? Vs Jr.

And now 50 million vs GGG!

Canelo has a TON of fans. And if he beats GGG he will explode into the boxing stratosphere

I remember Gennady Golovkin saying that he would go down to 154 and get the Guerrero treatment with no problem for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Shall I post the videos? Canelo weighed in at 152 , two pounds below 154 and you call it drained but Golovkin was going to go down 6 pounds for less money.

he has done well marketing and positioning canelo.

Whether or not he is a good promoter is dependent on how much money he has earned himself.

Take a deep breath and relax. Now, what does GGG have to do with Oscar mismanaging Canelo's career?

yes especially considering the golovkin fight seems upon us

only real mistake was 152 vs Floyd. they handled the dominant loss well and moved on

I will admit Khan Smith and Chavez all in a row were terrible but they did ok to good numbers got him a title and set up the big one

it's clear Oscar and his co have it all riding on Alvarez

I had hope when Oscar became a promoter, not more Bob Arum or Don King, thought Oscar would be honest, well, I was wrong...............he is a good promoter for El Pollo, that's it. He has cheated Golovkin in the contract, the fight will also be in Texas with Oscar's judges, referee, boxing commisison, etc., everything..................so, for El Pollo, he is good, he is a cheat though, Oscar can't allow his cash cow to lose this fight, you will see, the booing will do not good in Texas for sure..................https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/golovkin-canelo-the-super/75144

Oscar De La Hoya...I really admired him as a fight (pre Mayweather) but as a promoter I think Canelo would have been better off with Bob
