Maybe, but the context is WK missed with a lot of left hooks. That one is the most glaring as it would have turned Joshua's lights totally out and he should have landed it.
But it is all ifs isn't it ? I didn't feel Joshua got lucky in that fight and if he did he created his own luck.
He was lucky in that moment. He was actually done at the end of round 5 and bought himself another 15 secs by gobbing out his shield.
I'm OK, a little worse than I was before I saw that revolting cheating cretin's stupid mug lol How's things with you? Good I hope.
Quality stuff, another HW thread filled with Joshua being touted as the best thing since sliced bread. He has fought ONE live opponent. He is very impressive in what he has done so far. But he has not fought any top PRIME HW. This is not me having a dig at AJ, i have stated numerous times im a fan. But arguing AJ deals with Southpaws because he KO'd Charles Martin with 2 good right hands is ludicrous at best. AJ does not yet have legitimate claim to be included in a conversation regarding the top HW's of all time. He might in a few years, but he was very nearly derailed against Wlad, which ultimately would have given him a record of 18 KO Wins against tin cans and 1 Loss against a world level opponent. For my two cents, im going Ali. Lightning feet, lightning hands, could take a lot of punishment. Styles Make fights, Ali on his day, his style would give anyone facing him nightmares.
Ali for me , I rate Lennox Lewis but his chin will forever remain suspect after getting heavily koed twice by ordinary fighters that costs him his claim in my opinion.
Head to head is always a bit unfair IMO. You've got gaps of a hundred years. Fighters have got so many advantages in technology, flights, tv etc to learn from other greats and also you got better nutrition now compared to the past. Humans in general have got bigger and stronger aswell. Some of the past great heavyweights would now only make cruiserweight. You've got fighters like Jack Johnson, a great fighter that was well ahead of his time, but imagine him fighting another top great heavyweight in lennox lewis. Theres a saying a great bigger man will beat a great smaller man. It's just the way it is. Unfair.
Wlad has never thrown more fluid combos than he did against Joshua,he nearly missed with some and really his jab was being matched so he knew he had to throw leading rights and left hooks. joshua hits harder than Peter...MUCH harder ...if anything his legs stood the test as well as moving every round for 11 rnds....really you cant claim his legs are off at 240 pounds...who else ever could move like that and at 41 while dealing with a 6'6 monster puncher?Wlad has never fought anyone like Joshua,he could not just rush in and control him... He had trouble landing bc of joshuas defense even after the knock down joshua knew to bob and weave/duck under Wlads incoming shots when he jumped on him,no one else would have had the reaction nor the style nor the know how of distance like Joshua showed, ppl just want to ignore actual video footage.
I disagree. Wlad's combos from the Joshua fight were not his best. He has looked better. Wlad's legs didn't look like they had even a few years ago. He didn't put up that good of a performance against Joshua. It was nowhere near bad but it wasn't his best. He has looked better. I'm not comparing Wlad to other fighters, I'm comparing him to himself years before. Joshua was trying to survive. He didn't follow up with any counters after he slipped under the left hook. Wlad hasn't fought that great of competition so I agree that nobody else has the know how etc.
