Tiberi hurt Toney too. Tiberi couldn't punch his way through cobwebs if he was wearing steel gloves.

GGG lays Toney out cold via brutal highlight reel KO1. Out cold like a dead fish.

''Oh! Toney looked a little hurt! He was definitely wobbled there by a man that we have written off as a man with absolutely no power!''

''There was no doubt that that shot hurt James Toney''

And if Cotton bud fists Tiberi's glove didn't split a few rounds after that, giving Toney a four minute break and some much needed respite from Tiberi's incessant pressure and attacks, Toney would've got knocked out by a man who couldn't demolish a wet cardboard box with a sledgehammer ROFL

Toney had a whole series of underwhelming performances at 160. It's undeniable, yet there's a raft of excuses for these sucky performances. Well, OK.

But let's look at the flipside.

Can anybody imagine Tiberi or Sanderline Williams or professional loser Danny Thomas (19-37-1) lasting longer than 3 with GGG? Seriously?

GGG would spark both of them out cold at the same time in round one.

''This is my last fight as a MW. I'm no longer a MW''

Two months and 3 days after Tiberi paddled his ass, Toney weighs in at 160 for his next fight and then 2 fights after that he weighs in at 158¾ ROFL

Since most people are saying Toney, what are the biggest differences between Toney and Canelo which would allow Golovkin to win against Canelo but not Toney. Their styles seem very similar to me.

I picked Toney by close decision, but looking closer at his middleweight reign and I think ive exaggerated what he could do at that weight, down to him being tough through all the higher weights he fought at. Hes more vulnerable at middle than I remember.

He looked closer to being stopped at middle than he did in his whole career against a non puncher in Tiberi. Mental when u look at what he done and against who !

No Toney by stoppage in the poll. Biased poll! Toney would win comfortably. Toney would be one of those who would not be bothered at all from ggg's "power" so other intangibles would come into play. I see Toney countering him at will with ggg not being able to stop it.

But this is what I've been saying.

Toney paradoxically was better at higher weights where his speed and slickness paid dividends against bigger, slower opponents. He was a good MW but nowhere near the beast people think he was. I think that his lack of discipline outside the ring affected his performances inside of it, and weight yoyoing up and down like that does no good for consistency.

Golovkin is almost the model 160 fighter, a gym rat and disciplined outside of it. He'd be a very stiff challenge for Toney at 160.

However, what I will say, is that the defensively creative Toney would always do better than Golovkin at heavier weights (imho) because he was adept at avoiding the big artillery whereas Golovkin often tries to weather it. GGG's chin is rock at 160, but would he hang at LHW or Cruiser? As much of a Golovkin fan as I am, I doubt it.

I'm not saying that Toney wasn't a decent fighter in his day or that GGG would spark him out cold in one round every single time they fought if they were to get it on 100 times. I think Toney might even make it to the final bell a few times if GGG was carrying a bad injury into the fight or hadn't trained a lick.

Can you tell me why you are chosen the most out of shape and deshydrated version you could find, hater. Of course GGG stops that Toney version, moron! By the way Thadzi did win too.

We are taliking inshape Toney: see Mc Callum I.Like you did not know that. Nice try.
