Who is the best 200+lb HW joe frazier would be favored to beat

I would take Prime Frazier over all of them. Wlad has the tools but I feel that Frazier relentless pressure will be too much for him as much mentally as physically. Ibeabuchi and Tua will be tough and it might have to go the distance but I would still favour Joe to get the decisions. I wouldn't hold much hope for Tubbs or Peters and Old George might be the one version of Foreman that Joe can beat though that might go the distance as well.

 

Joe at his peak was a well oiled fighting machine.
The question should be who would i pick to beat Joe.
He is so underrated.

You're talking as though Frazier wasn't hit in FOTC he spent a week in the hospital after their fight and did you get to see his face?

 

I think he would beat wlad.

Wlad doesn't have the killer instict and punch variety to stop frazier. He may drop him but he wouldn't finish him. Frazier is tough with a huge heart.

Frazier would be coming like a terrier all night long throwing that left hook, combos, body attack...
Wlad would gas and fold under pressure like he did vs brewster.

I disagree. Evander who beat a shot Tyson twice would be favored over prime Frazier.

 

Were did I say he wasn't hit? I'm only pointing out his ability to repeatedly slip the jab and right hands from the fastest heavyweight in history, who was slightly pass prime as far as foot work was concerned. If he was capable of slipping the jab and right hands of Ali, and able to counter effectively . I'm sure he'd be able to be effective against the bigger but slower heavy's in today's world. Especially since most look like amateurs as far as skills are concerned.

 

Holyfield was the underdog against a so-called "shot Tyson", in their first encounter.
It's not unreasonable to think a prime Frazier would be considered a favorite against Holyfield, also.

Holyfield was a betting favorite against Lewis before the 1st fight, coming off the wins vs. Tyson. Imagine what a betting favorite he'd have been vs. Frazier.

 

If you think that was Holyfield, at his best - fair enough.

But, against a Frazier, who had just beaten Ali? I still think Frazier would be favored to beat that Holyfield.
