I don't think they would be out of place against these guys compared to the opponents these guys fought. I imagine the best big guys of the 30s beat every guy Wilder fought so far. Maybe Lewis stands out. But the others would be in for a tough night with Carnera at his best.

That is not what you said. This is your statement.
The bias from the writers was responsible for so much of the cliches about big guys, many of whom were as good as the big guys who are ruling the division today.

In reply to which I said.

Name the big guys of the 30's who were as good as:
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Lewis
    Wilder
    Joshua

If you want to back track on your previous statement say so, don't attempt to dilute it by obfuscation.

    How do you know?
And why a class opponent? The question is about his power, isn't it?

    That's not what I said.

    I said

"Its reasonable to assume that contemporaries at the time didn't understand the physical nature of SHW boxing as well as we do today."

Which is true. We are still learning a lot about SHWs, and they're everywhere.
Very few of them back then. Information about them was drastically worse, and exposure to them minimal in comparison to today.

    Vitali isn't around now.
    Lewis isn't around now.

Hughie Fury is around now, Lucas Brown is around now, pulev is around now, Thompson is around now, Parker is around now and I say Carnera (at his best) is better than those guys.

Wilder, Tyson Fury and Joshua those guys don't deserve too much advantage over Carnera, he would give them a very tough fight as they are now.

Class opponents are usually harder to kayo? Yes or no?
Or do you think it is a coincidence that Mac Foster never managed it? Cleveland Williams rarely? Lamar Clark ran up an incredible string of ko's until he met someone good..I'm saying Carnera never ko'd another opponent of any ability with one [which obviously does not include the just happy to get a pay day ones, over a 3rd of his opponents] punch ,if you think I'm wrong the answer is very simple prove it!

You said, "many of whom were as good as the big guys ruling the division today".

F*ck me it was only 3 posts ago! None of those you mentioned with the exception of Parker,,[does he even qualify as a Shvy?] rule the division.
    Bottom line: Joshua,Wilder,Wlad v
    Santa 69-20-4 Never ranked
    Campolo 21-8-4Never ranked
    Pettifer29-24-3 Never ranked
    Impelletiere 10-7-0Ranked for 6 months
    Carnera
How many do the lower list win in a round robin with the upper crew?

So we can't trust the people who saw Primo live and wrote about him (because bias and ignorance about super heavies and stuff) and we can't trust our own eyes when we see his obvious shortcomings in the ring (because bad film and stuff)?

Not a big deal, but Campolo was ranked briefly.
