Positively disgusting robbery.

I'm the biggest proponent you will ever find of "pure boxing" earning its place on the scorecards, never rewarding aggression for its own sake in my RBR scoring, always emphasizing the importance of "hit and don't get hit" ...I have freaking had a zillion arguments on this site and been called every name in the book over my insistence that Lara managed to comfortably outbox Canelo and got screwed...

But this? Oh gracious me, no. Danyo got taken not just to school but out behind the woodshed by a C+ pressure fighting southpaw, looked ready to crap his shorts for the better part of 7 rounds in the middle there, fought at Zhuravskiy's pace and on his terms for almost the entire thing, and got his clock thoroughly, spotlessly cleaned by a guy that not only threw but landed MORE punches as well as the more effective ones (and that's a giant understatement).

 

Well, if anybody can stomach more boxing after that, we are indeed getting the scheduled co-feature as live walkout now..

 

Yernar Yeshenov vs. Michael McGurk, 10 rounds @ light middleweight

 

YY vs. MM is a somebody's 0 must go proposition, but I'm still reeling from that ugly robbery. I actually feel like I might puke.

 

They're introducing Yeshenov vs. McGurk as the main event. It actually is a 10-rounder as well, but for a lesser title...but McGurk is probably the house fighter of event promoter Al Siesta, plus it's two unbeaten prospects, so..yeah. makes sense it would take precedence over two foreigners (even if Danyo is UK-based)
