To answer the thread question - no, I don't think so. Edwin Valero WBC and I forgot the other title was 27 and 0.

    Yes I know about him.

He was a two weight belt holder, and never a unified champion.

He held a belt, and had a 100% KO rate, but he was not a unified champion with a 100% KO rate.

WBC and WBO I think he had. Joshua has two as well to make him unified champion, WBA and IBF I believe hmm...

Could be. George Foreman was 35-3 in KOs when he beat Frazier. Sonny Liston was like 25-9 in KOs. Mike Tyson was 26-3KOs before he was unified champ. Frazier was 18 KOs and 2 decisions. Marciano was 38KOs and 5 decisions when he got there.

    No I checked.

He had one belt at super featherweight, then he moved up and won one belt at lightweight.

He was never a unified champion.

He comes the closest as far as I know though.

You can check Boxrec if you do not believe me.

As far as I know, and looking at this forum so far, Joshua is the only unified champion with 100% KO rate.

Yeah you're right, I just checked his record now. Geez his string of first round knockouts early in his career is impressive to say the least. So that rules out Valero.

    Probably nobody but Joshua.

Good point about Edwin Valero. I didn't know we were doing all weight classes. I just checked Carlos Zarate and while he didn't unify he was 52-0 with 51KOs when he lost to Gomez. Damn. Alfonso Zamora had the lineal and WBA titles with a 100% knockout rate at 21-0. Ruben Olivares was 52KOs a draw and a decision when he was unified bantam champ. Wow, he put together 61 wins before his first loss. Impressive.

Alfonso Zamora did not have the WBC title, but very close again.

He isn't the unified champ. There are two other belts if you haven't noticed.

You are unified if you have more than one major belt.

Undisputed if you have all the belts.

A better question would be, is Anthony Joshua the only champ to win his first belt without ever fighting anyone in the top 10?

Wlady was the number 1 contender by ring magazine.

Martin was ranked number six when he beat him.

Breazeale and Whyte are now both ranked in the top ten.

At least be rational with your hate, and don't post lies.

His first belt. Prior to fighting Martin he fought nobody that was, at the time he fought them, ranked in the top 10. This is 100% true. Your statement however is full of lies. He never fought Breazeale, Wlad, or Martin prior to winning the IBF title. Do you think you are actually fooling people?

I thought you said unified champion.

He fought Martin who was ranked in top ten to win belt, so still wrong though.
