There is not much to analyse really.

You have cherry picked some clips where Carnera makes mistakes, and paid no attention to what happens in the rest of the fight.

You can do this with any fighter.

This doesn’t really tell us much, even where your observations are correct.

Which of my clips do you feel are unfair/unrepresentative of Carnera's technique and abilities? Have you watched them? Do you agree with my observations re: the actual footage I provided?

That's two guys agreeing not to hurt each other ,similar to some of the Jeannette v Langford series.Im referring to pre arranged dives by fighters which happened in Carnera's fights.

Bowe fought a bunch of big punchers though, and almost none of them were able to come close to really hurting him.

OTE="reznick, post: 18560049, member: 54206"]Carnera had the better defenses, and fought tougher punchers. Scored twice as many knockouts over Bowe, and fought tons of talented fighters from his era.[/QUOTE]
Which punchers did Carnera beat in genuine contests?

    Sad...

    It wasn't an agreement.
It was the officiating at the time, thinking they knew **** about boxing, when they didn't. And decided to halt a fight because it wasn't being fought at the pace they felt satisfactory.

If Klitschko and Mayweather fought the way they did in the 30's, they might've not been making much money.

    Carnera fought punchers like Gastanaga.
    We're not even counting those.

No but im not convinced of Bowes chin at all especially against an eplosive guy because fought in a way where he had 0 respect for his opponents punches and almmost expected to get hit. A guy with handspeed and crack i think could have wiped him out with one shot because he had respect with punches. Bowe is muh better than carnera i said that

    My best guess:

    Holyfield beats him.

Golota finds a way to lose.

    He beats Hide.

Right , Primo had over seventy knockouts and on how many all time puncher lists does he appear ? Forget about all time but even at heavyweights ? How about for heavyweights in the 1930's. That is the Primo story.

They didn't even honor his lineal title win over Sharkey.
What makes you think they'll put him on any list? lol
