James Toney vs Sheppard

Is there any tv coverage for this?

 

The fact that Toney has a license to fight is disgraceful. No, he has never been eloquent when speaking, but he clearly has brain damage and has been slurring his words for 10 years...at least.

I really liked James Toney.

'Poetry in motion' may be a cliche, but it is still the best way to describe Toney in his prime.

He has had a remarkable career and achieved a lot, however, I always think that he had the potential to achieve a lot more than he did.

I'll watch this fight. Hopefully he goes out on a win, but his retirement is long, long overdue.

Good luck to James Toney. For me personally he was a great boxer and at his best a real joy to watch.

 

Why is a brain damaged man being allowed to fight ?

Toney cannot speak. He's one of the most punch-drunk fighters you'll ever have to misfortune to strain to listen to.

 

The champ is back! Just like I predicted, Toney delivered a KO, the power is still there! And even if he looked out of shape again, he showed flashes of his former brillance, defensive skills and a mean left hook. I know his opponent isn't a big name, but no walkover either - Sheppard is a tough experienced pro that has only been beaten by world level opponents.

Toney should retire now while he is on top, as a true champion, and the oldest man to ever win a HW title.

Why are you pretending you seen the fight with your bullsh1t analysis?? Sheppard took one of the worst dives ever seen in a boxing ring.

You clearly did not watch it.

 

What was the actual result? All I can see is KO 0 for Toney... That would actually be faster as Abell, Maddalone, Chagaev, Washington and Kuzmin, who needed at least part of the first round to stop him.
But, pretty sure boxrec doesn't know either.

 

Toney kod him in the 6th round via body shot. Clips on Toney's twitter page... James should either retire now even though there is some speculation about him returning in a rematch against Charles Ellis...

 

Cmon man, why are you not mentioning that obvious dive? Wtf. That is one of the worst dives I have ever seen, if not the worst.

 

ive only seen the pic of him on the floor, and it looks dodge from that !

 

toney has one of the best chins in history. if not the best.

 

I watched the replay and to me the stoppage seems legit.

It was a combination that put the guy down, body shot with the left, left hook (these two shots did the damage) and a right to the body

Don't try to discredit these guys when you don't have actual proof...
